I phoned this business looking to have my air serviced in my vehicle. Bob told me to bring the car by and he would check it out. I did take the car by and he promptly diagnosed the issue and scheduled me an appointment. This mechanical issue was resolved and in the process they also picked up vacuum leak. This was an issue that had been looked at many times by mechanics but never resolved. They diligently worked on solving it and mastered the problem. I am extremely happy with the service I received and would highly recommend The Clutch Guys !

I was having problems with my Dodge Avenger and took it to another shop and they told me the repairs were going to be around $1,500!! The mechanic was so rude and I felt like he was just trying to take advantage of the fact that I am a woman and that I do not know a whole lot about cars. I decided to get a second opinion so I took it to The Clutch Guys. Thank God I did!! Turns out that the other shop was trying to scam me! The Clutch Guys diagnosed the actual problem and it was only $200! I was treated with kindness and respect and the owner took the time to show me exactly what the problem was and answered all my questions!
It is so good to know that there are still some honest mechanics! I will be referring The Clutch Guys to all of my friends and family!

I took my Oldsmobile Alero to the Clutch Guys to have a four brakes replaced. I was expecting it to take most of the day (several years ago another shop had my car all night for the same repair). I was amazed at how fast it was ready and the price was SOO MUCH cheaper then I had paid in the past! I will be using the Clutch Guys for all my car repairs from now on!!

The owner is extremely responsive to customers needs. He and his mechanics are willing to work with customers and take the time to explain the repairs in layman terms. I will be returning to this shop with all future mechanical repairs

Stay far away, terrible work and refuse to own up to it!

Shop was hired to install a clutch and transmission in a RWD truck. The problems have continued to add up since they touched it and not only does the owner refuse to accept fault (even when presented with evidence of the wrongdoing at the hands of his shop), but the owner went as far as to accuse the customer (me) of sabotaging my own vehicle. Less than 1000 miles after they worked on it the driveshaft came off at 70mph destroying the U-joints, carrier bearing, front driveshaft flange, and caused damage to the underside of the truck. Found out at this point the shop re-used bolts that all repair manuals (including the factory service manual) clearly state must be replaced anytime they are removed. After finally fixing that and charging me for their mistakes I began driving the truck again. Less than 10,000 miles later the entire clutch and transmission broke. Took it to an actual reputable transmission shop and was informed that they neglected to install a pilot bearing when they initially did the repair and that is what caused the failure. Not surprisingly the clutch guys owner (Bob Garrett) once again refused to take responsibility for anything and then proceeded to hang up on me mid conversation. I wouldn't trust this shop to correctly air up a tire. Not only have they proven themselves incapable of correctly repairing the vehicle but the owner has no tact, sense of responsibility, or integrity. Stay far away from this place, they don't even deserve a 1 star.

I took my daughters car in for...

I took my daughters car in for repair and had a new clutch installed. Less than month later my daughter called and reported the car was making a clunking noise and the shifter felt loose. She lives about 40 miles away not knowing what the matter was; I had her park the car until I could look at it. On the following Saturday I drove out to her car and gave the car a once over. After opening the hood I could see:

1. The wiring harnesses in and around the transmission were not properly stowed and the dust cap was missing on the clutch slave cylinder bleeder port.

2. Two transmission bell housing bolts were finger tight and one had almost backed its way completely out.

3. I jacked the car and rolled underneath for further inspection just to discover the torque arm that stabilizes the shifter to the transmission had fallen off at the transmission end. The nut and washer meant to secure it was missing.

I took a few photos of the items I discovered and returned to the shop located on south Tyler road. An employee behind the counter identified himself as the owner/manager. I explained to him what had happened and presented the pictures of my findings and the original receipt. He apologized and explained everyone is human. I asked him what he was going to do about the situation and in turn asked me the same. I explained that in a perfect world he would refund the total labor cost. He denied this request and offered me a free oil change! I told him I would be a bit skeptical about having his shop work on any of my vehicles in light of the recent circumstances.

I explained the tow bill alone would cost at least $200.00. It was clear after getting down to asking him for $50.00 he was not going to hear of any type of refund

This is an example of extremely poor customer service.

I would not recommend this shop to anyone for anything!
