If there was anything lower th...

If there was anything lower than poor to fair that I could rate this company, I would. I was an employee of Ashraf Hamada for about 4 months. During my first month of employment he was nearly evicted, and his power was almost shut off. Also during my first month there I had several customers that were just totally upset with Ashraf's handling of their computers. He would blame other employees. Many times, there were customers that would come in and ask for their computers. Some didn't get their pc, some had to wait months and months, and some got back a pc that was worse off than when they brought it in. I know this because I had to deal with it on a day to day basis. Another thing he did to me and other employees was not pay right. It was either not the right amount of wage or he failed to pay me in full until the next pay period or days after it was due - which is illegal. The second month I was there his power was actually turned off, and I had to run the store (on his request) with no power leading one disgruntled customer to steal a laptop off of the shelf because he had waited so long for his computer to be fixed. The owner's excuse was he was on vacation and forgot to pay the electricity bill. Literally a week later he was evicted and had to make arrangements with his landlord so we could come back to work. I began to observe how much he lied to all of his customers- if a computer needed something as simple as a screen he would put it off for weeks until the customer came back and threatened legal action. Other times, he would not buy a part for weeks or even months and that's why people had to wait so long for their computers to be fixed. Getting a part is as easy as sending an order and having it shipped in. It should never take that long. Because of his poor business practices we started butting heads a lot because I had lost all respect for him. He was trying to make me use illegal software on pc's and he made me sell used items as if they were new, and use used components in pc's that needed components replaced. On November 10 2012 I terminated my employment with him because I couldn't stand my reputation being as badly damaged as it was. I also couldn't take the abuse that he was dishing because at this point I was very vocal with my displeasure for him, it got to a point where he took my flash drives and threw them at the wall and told me to never bring them back because I wouldn't use his illegal software. When I told him I was done working there, he sent me a slew of text messages that were very....immature, rude, childish and just plain stupid. I didn't respond, but those texts show his character as well as the things he did while I was working there. A note to anyone that wishes to bring their computer to him; please if you value your computer don't, he will screw you over or take your money and never fix it. There are choices out there, like Talk Click Play, Ribbit Computers, Computer Depot, and (god forbid) Best Buy. Do not waste your time with this...child.

I was incredibly distraught wh...

I was incredibly distraught when my personal laptop died. My entire life was on there, were talking photos of my wedding, two children, vacations, work projects, Outlook e-mails, spreadsheets, client contacts etc. I had a backup drive that was supposedly backing up everything but when I went to check it wasn t even on!! The dam power cord was just slightly loose enough not to be connecting. I started calling data recovery companies and was getting more and more frantic with each call. On average most places were telling me I had to mail my computer to them and it would be 2-3 weeks plus at least $1000 or more!! Finally, I found CompuTech! It was a Saturday and they were open 10-6 so I went right to the store. I was probably a freakish mess when I showed up in a panic but the guy at the counter, calmed me down and explained the options for me. Basically, I had to leave the computer of an evaluation and they will contact me with the results in 2-3 days. Those two days were the most nerve-racking days I ve had in a long time. Ring Ring, it s the results. Good News / Bad News. The drive is definitely failing but it isn t a catastrophic failure yet. 90% chance they can recovery all the data for $179. Plus I only pay if the recover works. I give the approval and a few days later I get the news: RECOVERY COMPLETED!! 100% OF MY DATA WAS RECOVERED. I got to see everything before I had to pay and confirmed all my files were restored. Overall a terrifying situation that was taken care of by professionals. I would definitely recommend these guys to EVERYONE!

Horrible

Purchased a laptop at the beginning of August and discovered while still at the store that it didn't hold a charge. The salesman tried various chargers and determined he would need to order the charger that goes with the laptop. We are now at the end of September and they have not responded to any phone calls or visits to the store. We now have a laptop that will only work if plugged in and no answers from management or anyone.

WORST experience with any busi...

WORST experience with any business ever. Look, we've all encountered poor service and terribly run businesses before, but they all pale in comparison to what I experiened at Computech.

I took my computer there for the first time in February 2012, was charged $50 only to find out the problem wasn't fixed. I took it back the next day and didn't get it back until the end of April and that was only after another $100 fix. However, my computer was only semi-fixed at this point and finally stopped working again at the end of May. It's now been another 2 months of constant calls to Computech without having the issue resolved. Today the manager told me he knew how to fix the issue, but it would cost another $75 and wasn't covered by the one year warranty he gave me.

There is absolutely no way I would ever pay another penny to this business, so now I get to eat the $150 and 5 months spent dealing with Computech.

Computech will never pick up the phone to call you or even call you back when you leave messages, so expect major difficulties in dealing with them even if you need just a simple fix. I've probably called them 30-35 times over the past 5 months and have only had them call me twice.

Not only can Computech not fix your computer issues, they are slow, expensive, and, at least from an organizational standpoint, the worst business I have ever seen or heard of.

If I didn't hold a full-time job, you better believe that I would camp out in front of their business to warn people as they tried to walk in.

(P.S. - make sure to read the Kansas.com article about their past tax issues. With how little they know about running a business, I wouldn't be surprised if either the IRS or revolting customers shut them down any day now.)

Fantastic!

Searched and searched for the one place that could take care of all my computer needs, and was about ready to give up and throw the computer out the window, when the Computech team came to my rescue! I have been handled like a preferred customer by the owner and staff from the first moment I called. They are my one and only source now for any hardware/software/network issues!
