These are good, honest vets who know what they're doing and don't drain your pocketbook unless it's a needed service. I am very confident in their expertise.

Trust them for routine Animal Care.. I have taken my dogs there for shots, stitches, and checkups. Find the Vets to be very knowledgeable and the staff is very friendly not to mention you don't have to have a appointment so it is very handy!

Horrible! Don't ever take any of your precious animals to this clinic! They don't give a darn about them! Only $$$!!!
I hold them Responsible for my baby's death! They took blood from him then wouldn't send it in just because I didn't have $240.00 bucks on me right then. Clinic was about to close, I had no time to get the cash. We had spent over the past year and half way over $1,000.. Going in every month to get shots, ect... And Skaggs dumbass couldn't tell what the " Sack" was on abdomen exray, didn't know if it was poop or what? Plus he told me he wasn't even a real Vet.
I took my dog to Dr. Soliman's they did exrays and immediately set us up with an Ultra Sound at Emergency Hosp that following Monday. Where he was Diagnosed with, Hemangiosarcoma! The real Devistation is, my baby died the next day in the early morning hours just like they said he could. If Arapahoe would of sent the blood work in, I might had a chance to prolong Dugan's life at least a little while longer!
The Ultra Sound was $400.00, and was paid for before we stepped foot in the Hospital. The visit to Dr.Soloman was $200.00, and was paid for before we left their office. Arapahoe Noticed the Sack first, they withdrew blood, and they never took in consideration for my pets health, and the fact that we would be back the very next day to pay and get lab results. They Didn't give a shit about Dugan! I will do everything in my power to see that this clinic keeps loosing patients, and I'll discourage anyone from going.
There are good Vets out there, you just have to sift through some shit first! Your pet's health is worth a lot more than they'll ever try to give them.

Have always had great care here. Trust Mahoney and Skaggs completely. Moved 14 miles away from them and still wouldn't think of going ANYWHERE else. Office girls are great too. I feel my animals are well taken care of here.

Just tried to take my cat to the vet who says they are open until 6 online, but at the office, the door says they close 5:30. I got there at 5:40, they were all standing at the counter. My cat has an abscess on his leg and he cannot walk at all. His leg is swollen 3-4x its normal size. I pounded on the door and they all acted like they weren't there. Finally they opened it, got one of the vets, and the vet said it wasn't an emergency, it was an abscess, he didn't know if it was broken until he looked at it and it could wait until tomorrow. He opens at 7:30. WTF? You're a animal doctor, you're literally right here, and you closed 5-10 minutes ago. Help my cat. You can see he's not doing well and is in tons of pain. How can he go home and sleep knowing that he sent a patient home meowing in pain? He can't be bothered to help my cat for 5 minutes? Go ahead. Take your animal and see Dr Mahoney. He'll treat and street your animal as long as it is convenient for him.

I do have to say that Dr Skaags is a great vet. He takes time, asks questions, great bedside manner and tries to make a connection with the animal.

1 star for Dr Mahoney

5 stars for Dr Skaags

We have used this clinic for years with much success, they however have changed the way they treated our dog that has issues with ear infections. During the last bout with his ears they said that we should think of euthanizing him. He is 11 and still very active with no other problems than his occasional ear infection.

They suggested that to my son and his girl friend with their puppy, thank goodness they

wanted a second opinion, they have a wonderful adult dog.

don't go !!!!

I had a dog who was in labor I talked to the dr and vet tech for 4-6 hrs during birth of puppies and he kept telling me to wait eventually before they closed I told him I was bringing her in because due to previous experience if you wait to late you could lose all puppies and mom so I rushed in so fast I left everything including my wallet at home they just wanted the money which I guaranteed was on the way I even managed to pay half off of loose change I had in my pocket for c sectionhe still wouldnt start until my girlfriend brought the rest from 25 minutes away so long story short he killed the puppy in the canal that had been stuck and saved 2 alsp they tried to have me put crate with 2 hour old puppies on the floor in waiting room just ridiculous !!!!!!! no effort for patient well being of the dogs just disappointment all around

This last week my family took ...

This last week my family took our schnauzer for an exam because she has been having "accidents" all of the sudden. The Dr. told us it was simply a behavioral change and it was linked to her old age (10). Yesterday we took our dog to the emergency room because of the same issue plus vomit. The Dr advised us that our dog has renal failure and now possibly an issue with her colon. He also said that this was apparent from her overall appearance of her skin and blood work and could have been caught and treated. Due to the misdiagnosis aka unwillingness to do further examining our dog is dying. She is a great dog and means so much to all of us. Thanks To Arapahoe for their inability to want to actually help instead of pushing our dog back to us she is now getting put down.

I take all of my dogs here! Wo...

I take all of my dogs here! Wonderful, caring Vets! Dr Steineker, Dr Skaggs, and Dr Mahoney are all the tops in my book! Last Friday I took our youngest member, a 5 month old German Shepherd, who is prone to infection, to get spayed. Storm developed an infection. We have had her at the vet every day this week. They did not charge us for the office visit and they gave us her antibiotics for free. This is just ONE story of their caring, and compassion of our family over the last 8 years. We wouldn't go anywhere else for the medical care they provide for our family.

I love this clinic. It is close to my house and open on Saturday. I have been going here for years. When I had to let my kitty go(Euthanize), they were very kind to me, I was very upset. Two days later I received a card signed by all in this clinic and I was touched by their concern for my heart. He gets to business, you never wait long. The staff is always caring and they work well together. I really appreciate being able to go right in, no appointment and whatever the problem is, He fixes them right up and we are right back home:)Thank you Dr Mahoney and Staff, you have always helped me in "My critters time of need". Bless you !

I have 4 cats and 2 dogs. Ever...

I have 4 cats and 2 dogs. Every time we have had to bring an animal in to Arapahoe Vet Clinic and see Dr. Mahoney he has been polite, very kind and caring. So has his staff. I treat them with respect and they do the same to me. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. I do not know why the other person had a problem but I assume that if you are an ahole to them that may affect how they treat you. Purely an assumption like I said. 5 stars.

JUST SAY NO!

I had several bad experiences with them but I'll just list the worst one to underscore why I stopped going there.

We had a three year old female cat that developed some kind of horrible cough, it was so bad that I thought she was going to die because she could not breathe. I rushed her to Arapahoe and got the SAME JERKY VET who botched a euthanasia on another cat.

(Not the nice one who was so helpful with our ferret; it seems by this point he had sold his interest in the clinic and moved on, but no one would really tell us for sure nor would they tell us where he went.) The Jerky Vet looked her over and said he couldn't figure out what her problem was, we had kept her vaccinations up to date so he just couldn't figure out what it was. This was right after christmas so we were very strapped for money, I had enough to pay the office visit and maybe a little more. He wanted to do bloodwork and that, on top of the office visit, was actually a little more than what I had in my checking accont so I told him to do the bloodwork. Then he wanted to do an xray for another $100 or so (i can't remember, it may as well have been a million dollars because we just didn't have it right then and they did not take payments). I told him I had to pass on the xray because we just didn't have the cash to pay for it. He got very angry and said something to the effect of, well if I wasn't willing to spend the money to get her treated there was nothing he could do. He didn't even bother doing the blood work, he just kind of pushed away from the exam table (might as well have just shoved my cat back at me!!) and left the exam room. He was glad to make sure I paid the exam fee though. I asked at the counter, what about the blood work? And the clerk said the doctor hadn't ordered any. My cat was still coughing and looking like she was going to expire, I was upset. She couldn't even lift her head and her mouth was hanging open as she gasped, and that was all the jerk cared about??? This was a friday evening, where else could we go? I took her home and in desperation gave her some Prednisone. I figured what did I have to lose. Within a short time her coughing and labored breathing eased. I am VERY HAPPY TO REPORT that my kitty is now a healthy twelve year old. NO THANKS to that JERK VET. We never went back there again.
