I have been renting vehicles for years from all major companies for both business and leisure, and for the most part I have been pleased. However, I have to say Avis Rent A Car, Wichita Falls, TX provided me with a truly unique experience! I booked my reservation via 3rd party (Priceline.Com), but I needed to alter it at the last minute. I did not realize it would effect my rate quote negatively. The Avis rental agent brought this to my attention before I checked out my car. I didnt complain because I needed the vehicle anyhow, but I was upset. The rental car agent adjusted the rate to match my original quote without skipping a beat. He simply said, "Seems to me this is the only fair way to handle it". WOW. I only wish this type of fair-minded, small-town mentality applied to rental car companies in all "big" cities. Or any business for that matter. Well, Avis Rent A Car, you may have lost a few bucks in profit on this rental, but thanks to Avis Wichita Falls you have gained a lifetime customer.
