This family business began back in the mid 1930's when Mack Holcomb started a small company in Berkley. He provided roofing, carpentry, siding and gutter services to his residential customers. Jerry Holcomb, the current president of Sentry Contractors, Inc, started working for his father when he was a teenager in the mid fifties. He has been a foreman and is considered an expert in may venues including management. He attended college and eventually took over his father's role. The business was incorporated in October of 1966 and has been in the Farmington/Farmington Hills area for almost 40 years. A second location was added in White Lake Township. Sentry has expanded Sentry's services to include almost everything including but not limited to roofing, flashing, gutters, siding, structure, kitchens, baths, masonry, additions, foundation, water proofing, all phases of renovation as well as all phases of construction. There is also a third generation Holcomb who started working in the business in his early years. The Drummond Family, Patrick and Patrick's mother Sharon have been working for Sentry for many years. Sharon is our office manager and bookeeper. We hope to be able to meet you or meet you again and provide you with excellent work at a fair price. Come to think of it, we probably worked for your parents or grandparents. No other group can provide this expertise. As our family tradition enters almost 80 years Sentry Contractors, Inc nears its 42nd corporate year anniversary, we would like to thank all our past customers for their confidence in us and we welcome all of our new customers to our business. Sentry Contractors has grown yet keeps the business small enough to provide a hands on, the one on one approach with its customers. We strive to be competitive while offering the same fine materials and workmanship our customers expect. Most often we offer single layer management in setting up and completing your job. The fact of the matter is, we have been training people to do our type of work for over 70 years.
