STAY AWAY. WORST experience ever. Rented skis for the season (3 pairs). After 3 months and MULTIPLE calls, still have not recieved the deposit back!! They bluntly lie on the phone... they have NO SHAME. No explanations, just excuses.

Have been buying clothing and renting skis/equipment for my family there for nearly 10 years. Can get crowded near ski season (so try not to go Sat or Sunday), but service is consistently good, staff is helpful, and selection (both equipment and apparel) is excellent. I have never had any rental issues. I even purchased a car ski equipment carrier through them recently.

They have brands that the big ...

They have brands that the big box stores do not. The sales and staff are nice and great to work with. I haven't used their service department, but again their merchandise selection is bar none impressive. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy winter gear for the upcoming season.

Took 3 Years to get my Deposit Returned

I rented equipment for myself and two children in 2006. As he said, you cannot return the equipment at the end of the season. You must wait 'til Sept. while they outsource their storage to their customers.



I did re-rent in 2007. In 2008, I had forgotten about the skis (and my kids got some hand-me-downs) and I returned them late (after Nov. 1). Because of this ,they would not refund my deposit. They said the only way I could get it back was to re-rent again. I didn't really need to but I decided to rent skis for my third child. Returned them on time in '09 and was told they would mail back my $150 deposit. This was early October 09.



A month went by and I didn't receive it. I called and they said it was on its way. About two weeks later, I visited in person. They claimed there was a glitch and it would be mailed "tomorrow." Another 2-3 weeks went by and apparently the only person in the whole freakin' store who deals with checks was always "away." The manager would not return my calls.



When I finally connected with Carol, the check lady, she claimed to have already mailed the check. They made a big show out of having to "call the bank and make sure it hadn't been cashed." This also took a week or two.



After repeated calls, they finally condescended to cut a new check and mail it. I insisted on picking it up in person, which I did. I promptly cashed it at THEIR bank, afraid it would bounce if I did it at my own.



This year, I split our rentals between Ski Barn and Cury's. We'll see who does better when the time comes to return, which is at least the end of ski season and not next fall!

horrible customer service

The only reason this store has been surviving is the location.

The service is horrendous and the employees are extremely rude.

I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere; not worth the insulting service.
