Through its microfluidics division, MFIC Corporation manufactures industrial submicron processing equipment for worldwide markets. Incorporated in 1983 as Biotechnology Development, MFIC has developed a line of laboratory, pilot and production scale microfluidizer processor equipment utilizing its patented and proprietary technology featuring fixed-geometry interaction chambers. The company makes a marketing effort to reach out to companies producing pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, catalysts, coatings, inks and other products that can benefit from its unique nanoparticle manufacturing capability. The company will build laboratory MMR systems, develop series of reaction chambers to allow optimum management of specific nanoparticle-forming reactions and build a manufacturing-scale MMR to demonstrate its capability. It also conducts in-house product development programs in a variety of applications, such as polymer nanoparticle production for delivery of potent active pharmaceutical ingredients and APIs in nanosuspensions for injection and for transdermal and oral formulations.
