Incredibly disappointed with the owner of Unique Jewelry and her repair service. Took my pearls to her the first time for restringing. HUGE Fail as the clasp had not been included in the restringing - really? Evidently, her employee had done it and she hadn't checked it. That should have been my first clue.



Since the clasp was a double clasp, I decided to have a shorter set of pearls included since the original had to be restrung anyway. The owner assured me that it would be done by her and done correctly. Well, she strung the smaller set of pearls at the bottom of the necklace. Second FAIL.



So, try and try again was my motto - shouldn't have been. Finally got them right the 3rd time. They lasted for about a month before they broke - the whole string broke. Dead in the water.



Now, I took them back and was lectured about how one shouldn't wear pearls in the shower. I also wear them to the gym, etc. My mom wore the original set for FORTY years without a fail. I wore them 5 years before they broke. She restrings them and they last, oh, a month. HUGE FAIL!



Not only that, she was incredibly unprofessional while denouncing my wearing the pearls every day - totally rude.



Avoid at ALL costs. Sadly, we were going to get our wedding rings there but, um, couldn't pay me to get anything from her store again.
