Last year (2015) we relocated to the West States but before moving had Ron (R & R Auto Interiors) replace the convertible top on our 1965 Corvette. The car was in its final phase of frame off restoration. The quality of the fit was so poor that deplorable isn't sufficient. Huge puckers over both doors. To add insult to injury, he managed to chip the paint on the deck lid in several spots....an $11k paint job. We are just getting around to finishing this car and facing additional costs to have the paint fixed and his inept work on the top corrected. Never do business with this company. It took him a week to return the car to us and if we had more time, Ron would find himself in court. There aren't enough synonyms in the dictionary to describe the bad, poor, inept, failing, incompetent, incapable results that we received. I have never done a convertible top but without any doubt/reservation, could have done 200% better and without paying $600. At the time we picked up the car, I knew there would be heartbreak but not to this extent. If you consider taking your business here..you are a fool! Don't make the mistake. Bogus, bad, deplorable!!! There isn't a low enough rating on the scale show on this website. Disappointing doesn't describe the depths of our unhappiness.

HOME RUN in Westland, Michigan

Over the past 2 years I have had my seat interiors custom repaired and replaced several times on 3of my vans. Reno, the owner, Allen his son and Michael Renos brother were very friendly, and bend over backward with excellent service and parts. I highly recommend R&R Auto Interiors to everybody!

I was having my motorcycle customized and needed my seat done, my painter told me about R&R. I met with Ron the owner who worked with me for over two hours on my first visit. He and his staff were understanding about my visions and helped me with some ideas that worked as well. Being a woman and talking to other shops this was the first shop I felt listened and cared what I had to say. So female friendly. I love how my seat turned out and would have them do work for me again on bike or cars. Heck I liked Ron his staff and shop.

Excellent Work!

I had a large and visible open area on the back of the driver's seat on my '99 VW, and the foam was showing and breaking off. Also, the padding on the seat itself had worn down on one side. I told the people at K.E. Binder in Westland that I would be happy if they could just repair the open area so it looked as close as possible to the original color and material. When they finished, I could not tell the difference in the appearance, and the seat itself feels like new! Their customer service was excellent, too.

I highly recommend K.E. Binder in Westland.

Not good for classic cars

Was recommended by a friend for installing a replacement top on a 1964 Ford Galaxie XL convertible. Talked to the foreman and provided all the new parts he recommended.

Car was there for 4 days, twice as long as stated.

# 1 problem, weather-strip installed totally incorrectly, damage to 2 pieces of weather-strip

# 2 problem, wrinkles in the top, not installed correctly

# 3 problem, back seat bottom seam torn open

Basically, here is your car, have a good day!

Foreman came to my house to fix the weather-strip, instead, he cut a piece making it too short. Called and talked to owner and foreman, will review car when I take out of winter storage and fix then. I felt like they would fix the problems.

WRONG

Spring, and the wrinkles they said would go away, didn't. Owner and foreman came to the house, reviewed the car and agreed to re-install the top, get a new weather-strip kit to replace the one they cut and fix the back seat. Owner said he would get the kit and call me. 6 weeks later, I called him, 10 times. I finally went through our mutual friend and then he called back, "What did I want"

He said bring the car in and he would fix, I call to see if he got the kit, no return call.

Ended in small claims court and I was ordered to give him a chance to fix the car.

He fixed the seat, made the top worse and didn't do much with the weather-striping.

Back to court, the judge reviewed the car and ordered him to replace the weather-strip, pay to fix the well liner he messed up and court costs.

He still hasn't paid, I now need to go back to court and pay additional funds to have a seizure notice against him.

My advice, try Petes in Taylor. They are listed at the Robbins site as recommended installers. K. E. Binders was, but I was told they were taken off based on this court case.
