Horrible horrible horrible

Myself and my 1yr old son are in town visiting my mother from North Carolina. I decided to stay at the Knights Inn up the road from her house because it was in a nice area and looked fine from the outside. I checked in and I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady at the front desk who got me checked in quickly and without issue. I stayed in room 311 and upon my initial examination the room seemed fine but it looked very old and smelled like feet. After unpacking and settling in, my son began to explore the room and quickly discovered the loose wooden trim that was hanging by a thread on the wall near the bathroom. He also found the same thing with the one remaining piece of door frame that was no longer nailed to the wall, but simply leaned against it. The cover to the heater was also broken and my son was able to very easily remove it. Not only was the room falling apart, but it was also filthy. I noticed, after walking on the floor for a few hours, that our white socks were now completely black on the bottom. I also had to wipe down the chest of drawers because a sticky substance had been spilled and not cleaned up. I paid $60 to stay in the room and for my money it should have atleast been cleaned properly. My stay left me feeling dirty and I will never stay there again.
