They were extremely unprofessional. At every turn, they failed to prepare to do our epoxy concrete floors. They had 3 weeks to get ready for my job, and in all that time never bothered to order or at least check if the materials or equipment they would need was available. So, on the day they are supposed to start, they don't bother to call me. I call them after waiting for them to arrive. Then, they tell me they cant find a grinder, then today, they say that one of the colors we needed is not in stock at their favorite retailer. Did they check with any of the others in the area. Heck no. They told me I had to do that. Wow! Now I get to do their job. Meanwhile, we have 3 other contractors that need to wait for them to finish the floor. After hearing me complain about his carefree approach, Billy (The owner) just walked away from the job, leaving me in a lurch. Fortunately, within 2 hours, I was able to hire a real epoxy flooring expert. And, they already started. Oh, and they did several prep work tasks, like filling cracks, that Billy suddenly said did not need to be done. The bid was to include that, by the way. So, do not rely on J&M for any epoxy work. You will find they really don't know what they are talking about.

We hired Billy-one of the owners--to do a metallic epoxy paint on a cement floor. He came to the home, made a bid, we accepted and hired him. He gave us a two weeks out start date. On the day he was supposed to be there he's a no show. In the afternoon he finally calls and tells us that a part he needs to prep the floor hadn't come in and said he can't get a tracking number from his supplier. He tells us he'll be there tomorrow if the part comes in. The following day we hear from him in the afternoon saying the part isn't in but he thinks it will be in on Wed and if so, he'll be up to start the job. He shows up on Wed afternoon and tells us he can't get one of the paint colors. We find out he only checked one supplier and is unwilling to look somewhere else. He tries to convince us we only need one color instead of two. Then he up and bails on the entire job. My dissatisfaction is simple. Two weeks lead time on a job the part he needed should have been ordered on the day he agreed to do the job instead of calling us the day he was supposed to be there that the part hadn't come in. I don't even know if any of this is even true. For all I know he went down to rent the part and found it was being used by someone else. Very poor customer service, poor planning, and certainly the most unprofessional contractor I've ever worked with. I wouldn't hire this company if they were the only company in the state. I question whether they are even capable of doing the work.
