Very good quality work. My initial review was negative because of my unexpected cost share, which was misguided. After the dentist called to explain the actual work that was performed, I am satisfied that I was treated fairly and that the cost wasn’t out-of-line with what other dentists would have charged.

I visited Dr. Dari Shapiro, the Boynton Beach office, to have an implant crown re-cemented. This is a review of Dr. Dari Shapiro, at any of the offices in which she works. Before they would do any work (while I was sitting in the dentist chair) they politely demanded that I pay the full amount ($200), which I found to be surprising, untrustworthy of them and distasteful. When I returned home after the work was completed, I saw they had used an incorrect and much more expensive procedure code (D6095). I gave them the correct code (D6092), which typically has a very low fee, but they claimed they were correct. I called my insurance company and we had a three-way call with their office. The dentist office agreed that the procedure code they had used was incorrect and that they would re-submit the claim using D6092 and refund me any difference. When I followed up with them later in the day they told me that when they put in the correct code (D6092) it also came to $200!!! Re-cementing a normal crown is usually around $50 and re-cementing an implant crown is typically around $100. This outrageous charge only further confirms that Dr. Dari Shapiro chooses to act in an unethical and unfair manner, overcharges, and uses erroneous codes, hoping no one catches it and I can only warn others to stay away. You have been forewarned!

I was referred to Shapiro Family Dentistry by Shanese Hogg, For my daughter and myself in late 2017. She has always spoken so highly of the dentist office and their dental hygienist, which, I also had the opportunity of meeting. However, after witnessing first hand the way Shanese was treated by the office manager Heather, I was appalled. There was no sense of customer service AT ALL. Even if a customer does not agree with your policies and leaves a negative review that is not the way that anyone does business. Whether it was for free or not. We are not on free health insurance and always pay whatever fees are required upon service. If I can witness someone else be treated that way, I can only imagine if my daughter or I had an issue or complaint that it would be handled with the same unprofessionalism. FREE Services or complimentary toothbrushes, dental floss and mouth wash was not the main issue here. The principle of the matter was that a repeat customer was treated so callously for asking this dental office to honor their policy. And if she did not agree, the response I have read here by whichever staff is appalling!!! I have never seen a staff come on a review and undermine someone's OPINION of services they have received. For the most part I usually see replies such as " I am sorry that we could not satisfy all of your request Shanese, perhaps next time we can better accommodate you. WE hope you will come back and see us." Maybe not everyone but for whomever was on the phone or even wrote the response to Shanese's review, their needs to be better CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAININGS FOR THIS STAFF! I work in the corporate world and I am a licensed professional and although I deal with unsatisfied customers DAILY, I would never react or reply in such a manner. If you scroll down past my review there are other customers who complained about this facilities customer service manners also! I will take QUALITY customer service OVER complimentary things ANYDAY!!

Doctor Seth Shapiro is the best! 17 years ago I hated going to the dentist. I then found Shapiro Family Dentistry and all that changed. Do you want a painless root canal? Here's the place. My hygienist Miranda is ever so caring and thorough. Kisha at the back desk always makes sure that before you leave all is in order. An awesome place all around with top notch professionalism and a caring attitude. Even when totally busy the staff and Dr Shapiro will take the time to address your needs. Keep up the great work!!

This is the worst dental office ever. They change staff members like crazy. The staff members are rude and uncaring. The hygienist she is very nasty she has a bad attitude. I visit this office twice to give them another chance. I would never go there again same additide a year later.

To be completely honest I have never been to a dental office that I felt comfortable in , I've had my fair share of the different offices in Florida , Chicago and New York but have never felt more cared for until I came to Shapiro family dentistry . The receptionist greeted me with such a pure positive smile , when she said hello I felt in my heart she meant it , everyone was so sweet and happy seemed to want to help, I even asked if someone can hold my hand and I got more then one employee that wanted to do that task and that brings me pleasure to tell everyone that this is by far the best practice I've ever been to.

They did a root canal on my 12 year old daughter in the front of her mouth. No one informed me of the possible side effects of having a root canal at a young age. After they did the root canal, she experienced pain and when returning to the office I was informed that the root canal was finished and she would be required to have another one. To make matters worse they told me it was my fault ( I am not a Dentist) and told me my insurance wouldn't cover them doing it again and I would be responsible for the entire cost which would be about $300.

I hardly ever make a recommendation regarding products or services. However, over the past 6 months I have been under the care of Dr. Shapiro and his very skilled and professional staff. During my 3/4 implant and crown reconstructions, I was so impressed regarding his surgical competency and results/focus for "perfection", not to mention their always accomodating my comfort needs (over several visits where consistency can be measured), that I highly recommend this Dental Practice to anyone who appreciates and requires quality! Dr. Shapiro and his staff rocks!

Just left the dentist office. The front desk staff was very accommodating. They made me feel at home. Everyone was friendly and he made me feel at ease. This was my first appointment and actually the first dentist that treated me with dignity and respect even though I had not taken care of my teeth for a long time. My previous dentist kept shouting at me because my teeth were in such bad shape and made me feel like garbage. My parents were sick and I was taking care of them. Obviously, my previous dentist did not care. Dr. Shapiro is compassionate and I am going back and actually am excited to get all my dental work completed. The office is beautiful and up to date. X-rays just appeared on the computer screen in front of me and I do not have to be referred to 5 other dentists to get my work done. It is all done in his office. Thank you Dr. Shapiro

I was visiting my mother in Florida when my front tooth broke. I called and spoke to a very nice receptionist who made room for me immediately. I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving which is rare in New Jersey, and was treated by Dr. Shapiro who made a crown right at the office without having to take those impressions and then come back while having to wear those ugly temporary crowns. The color was perfect and I was able to spend quality time with my mother instead of sitting at the dentist 3 or 4 addtional times. I can not believe how easy it was. Thank you Dr. Shapiro

had an emergency. seen within 24 hours. office is beautiful and clean. they performed root canal and crown on same day and finished in that one visit with no pain at all. before the work started they explained the whole treatment, answered all my questions and it was painless--both dentally and in my pocketbook.



they are great dentists with wonderful, helpful staff. just scheduled my implants to be done. another office quoted me 500.00 and then after i went there, the price changed to over 10,000.00. this did not happen at shapiro family dentistry. i highly recommend them.
