I have had two other therapists in the past few years. I greatly respect both therapists I have had. HOWEVER, I have found Mary Boone and she is a God Send! Her techniques are very simple yet very helpful. Too often we find our only comfort in being heard. Mary Boone has given me some wonderful exercises that have strengthened me on an ongoing basis and these exercises actually work. Even I am surprised. She has a unique approach. For example - how many of you in therapy have had a therapist take you to lunch for purpose of distraction from the petty issues and to get you to focus on that which is most important? Probably not many.... I am not saying this is a standard practice for her. I am only saying that she has done some very specific things in treating me that have made A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE and it is working. She is the first time I have felt so very hopeful that I can conquer both my fears and issues. She is a wonderful therapist!
