I think the owner's have made enough money.The whole inside need's a overhaul! Staff and owner's are just walking through their job's.I'm looking for a new place out onthe "west side".

Me and wife went there for the very fist time for our date night the setting was good.We set down at the table waitress can over and ask us what we we like apparently the menu didn't have the specials in it.So she said let me get you one with the specials in it she brought it back we looked at it an saw the frog legs in it so when she can back we wanted the frog legs she told us they were out of the frog legs so why put it on the menu then if you didnt have any we wasn't happy with the service .

Considering that the catfish is almost a native, it's surprising how few places in Des Moines serve it. Waterfront is the best. The fish is hot, crisp, and flaky, the side dishes are great, and the wait staff know their fish. The wait can be a bit long; go early in the evening or have a quick snack at home first. Great food, great prices, great place.

Waterfront has the best seafood anywhere in the state. Excellent blackend fish!
