I have had their homeowners and auto policy for well over 10 years and when I moved earlier this month, I used their homeowners to insure my new condo. My auto policy happened to be up for renewal around the same time. First, they sent the renewal notice to the old address (even though they had my new address since they insured it), so I never received it. Then they sent the cancellation notice 9 days before it was cancelled and it got to my new residence too late for me to realize and pay up the premium. So basically, I had no car insurance and did not know it!!! I can't believe they have so little regard for the risk they put on my life and financial security. My dentist texts and emails me to remind me of an appointment, but my auto insurance sends renewals an old address and a single letter too late in a envelope that contains no warnings about expiration and all they can say is "We did nothing illegal." Come on, I paid for years and years. I expect AND DESERVE BETTER! No stars for this poorly run organization.

They made a mistake, cancelled our policy and didn’t care!
I am a pretty easy home owners policy customer. I like to have automatic payments set up and not have to worry about it. I do not believe I have ever filed a claim as I don't want the small stuff to be on our policy record. In addition we have been fortunate enough to not have anything major happen.
When we changed banks I tried to change our automatic payments online. They do not offer that service. Fine, I will call. Spoke to a customer service rep and was told that she could not change the information either. I would have to FAX a voided check, really! So I did it that day. I distinctly asked the rep about the status of our policy and wanted to make sure this would take care of our monthly payment. She affirmed everything was in good standing and with the fax they would be able to update our account.
A few weeks later we get a notice of cancellation for non-payment. I called and was told that when they put through our payment (on our old account) it was returned. DUH! No way to reverse it. Our policy was canceled. We had to meet with our agent to set up a new policy. It made absolutely no difference to them that I had spoken directly to their company about before and during this to make sure they got the payment.
