AHS let’s people take your money wo ever coming to your house

This company is deplorable! I was ditched to use them by my home warranty company, American Home Shield. They “supposedly” showed up at my condo for a refrigerator repair but they never called me, didn’t ring my unit and came 20 minutes early for the appointment and then just left.

My neighbor was home to let them in the entire time and the company ALSO lied and said that they called me which never happened. Do NOT use this company If you care at all about service...

My dishwasher broke. I call American Home Shield and they sent Universal 1 Repair. A young man Nick showed up. He went to the basement to check the switch and told me there is nothing he can do. I need to call an electrician. I said how do you know there is something wrong with the switch??? You didn't test and use no tools. Then I found the real switch for my dishwasher. it was no.3 switch. and he continuted to try no. 1 switch. I told him you were wrong for at least 3 times before he realized that No. 1 switch is not the right one. and then he took picture and planned to leave. I complained : you didn't take a thourough check. He said he saw more then 2000 cases like this . and he can tell what is wrong in a short time. I said even you can tell the wrong , but I need time to communicate with you to understand what is wrong. then he left without my tip. not recommend this company.

Sent by AHS, nick dress very nicely with pair of shining shoes. He is more like a salesperson than an appliance technician. And when he comes to the house, he brought NO tools except a notepad and a smartphone. He took couple pictures and then greeted us nicely and left in a min, but inside his heart he has no honesty. Actually the lady in the office doesn't neither. Full of lies.

1. He stopped by few times and every time blamed washer issue to power outlet, actually the same power outlet has been there for 5 years.
2. Last time he finally saw error code 'PF' and said he is going to order new part, but one day later we got AHS report saying he transferred the case to electrician since it is the power outlet issue
3. Like other review, appointment was 9-2 pm, Nick arrived at 9am and he did not wait for you and will be gone by 9:05 pm. However they will ask you to wait at house for 4 hrs for him to show up.

1. Like review by Andrew M. on 07/19/2017, our appointment was 9-2pm, Nick arrived at 9am and he did not wait for you and will be gone by 9:05pm. However they will ask you to wait at house for 4hrs for him to show up.

2. Like the review by Benjamin S. 06/28/2017, without any tools or gauges he just pointed out the issue is power strip, claims he has looked at thousands of washer and knows the things.

For any customer had issues with this company, please email me at andyjliu@hotmail.com, I have hired a lawyer and we should file lawsuit against this company to stop them from doing this.

Universal 1 is an 'authorized' company for American Home Shield. Their response time is SLOW--took 2 1/2 weeks to get the part and get back to our house. Their customer service over the phone and in person was terrible. The repair guy did not hook up our washer before he left. Do not use this company.

I've had a few issues with various home appliance and my home warranty company has sent Universal 1 Repair. They were always punctual, seemed to know what they were doing and took the time to explain the issues to me. While my one appliance required them to come out on several occasions, I don't blame them, I blame the appliance.
