Chobert Manufacturing (J.F. Chobert Associates) began in January of 1976.  John Chobert was it's sole employee selling labels, tags, printing and just about anything his customers required.  He had others make the products but retained all billing control. In 1978, Frank Kearney came aboard specializing in super markets. In late 1979, converting was added at the request of our two largest customers, DuPont and Acme Markets. At the time, they were pleased with our commitment and service and wanted to award us with more business but were reluctant because we did not make our own products.  Thus, in November of 1979, a press and two employees were added, one of which is now our production manager.  Additional presses, art department, and plate making capabilities were added as business grew. All was almost lost in 1987 when we suffered a catastrophic fire.  We were told after the fact that only 5% of businesses ever recover from such a disaster.  Not only did we survive but have prospered serving customers across the country and overseas. Our motto "Known By The Companies We Keep" is our mantra.  We are fully committed to our customers.  We still service customers from before the company began.
