I ordered a kitchen on ikea in July after being told traemond could install. This is why I bought from ikea - because I could not install and did not have install people near me. They told me to a) order and b) call store when all items received to set up install contract. I ordered (July 1) and called store after all items received (October). They told me can’t install. What am I supposed to do with kitchen I can’t install? What about $$ I paid to change outlets for new kitchen? Why is there no longer a phone number for my store? Only national number and they can’t help?

Like a lot of the products, but am so tired of not being able to purchase a few things from the market area and having to walk the entire store to registers! Will no longer shop there, as there are other stores that don’t FORCE you to go through the maze when you want to pick up only a few specific items. Terrible set up!

Can it be rated as a 'zero' star? one of the worst business models.... you are doing a business in such a large scale and you do not have a customer service agent to respond to phone calls. My items were supposed to be delivered yesterday and assembled at the same time, no one arrived and not a single call to reschedule or let us know what happened. And now I cannot even reach you, is it possible to drive more than an hour each way to find out this information? A ridiculous business model you are running.

Rat in a maze

We drove for two hours to purchase an item that the website indicated was highly likely to be in stock. Staff refused to break open a pallet to restock the items on the buying floor. The warehouse is two floors, and you have to follow a set route tnat takes you up the stairs, through the length of the warehouse to an elevator, and then down to the far end of the first floor via an elevator; then you walk the length of the warehouse again, in a circular configuration, to get to the cash registers. Woe to the person who wants to revisita section of the store: you either have to backtrack the route, which can take upwards of a half an hour, or snag an associate to unlock barriers and provide a shortcut. We witnessed two customers at varying times of the afternoon having a panic attack b/c they realized they were rats in a guided maze. Kind of a horrible hyper-marketing shopping experience. I found one item not made in China. Many of the linens had a count of only 108 threads per inch. All of these products are an illusion of a Scandinavian product, but in fact it's a variation of Walmart.

Just spent 1 1/2 hours on telephone to talk to some one. STILL HAVE NOT TALKED TO A PERSON. Makes me wonder if this a legitimate company!

Where do they find them??

I have made two trips to this store at over 4 hours round trip. First tip was good found all the things my wife and I where looking for. This trip started the same till we got to the check out and foud that there seems to be only two people in the store that can run the check out. To top off the night after my 2 1/2 hour trip home I find that the dresser I bought that comes in two boxes that keep in mind are stacked on the same pallet are not even to the same dresser. so after being on hold for 30 min they told me I would need to bring the wrong box back and pick the right box up.so that is bs. I will do it but I will never go back to that store ever.

Worst Experience I've EVER had Shopping!

As the manager of a marketing department, I was in need of some bookshelves. Also being a designer, I wanted something cool and fresh that would look good in any surrounding. I drove over an hour to get to IKEA because I was certain they would have just what I was looking for. I arrived, found the shelving, and made my way to the registers. I was so excited about my shopping outing to IKEA that I'd left the office WITHOUT MY TAX EXPEMPT FORM. I showed the woman at the register my agency's credit card, which clearly lists my tax exempt number. She said that they could not take the tax off without the state form. She said not to worry, however, because I could go ahead and make the purchase and then get the tax taken off later once I could provide the form for documentation. Perfect! Two bookshelves at $200/ea loaded into my car. After driving another hour to get back to the office, I called the number to see what I needed to do to get the tax taken care of. I was told that IT CANNOT BE DONE. But I was informed by your associate that this would not be a problem? "I'm sorry that she didn't give you the correct information." The only way, I am NOW told that I can get the correct bill, is to load up the car again with 500 ponds of shelves, drive an hour back to IKEA, return it all, and then present the tax form to have it all rung out again. And no, I can't just bring in the bar codes. I told the "representative" that if I have to go through all that, I will just return them and take my business elsewhere. Too bad, too. I really liked those shelves :(
