I absolutely do not recommend South Valley RV Repair! I had been there one other time and felt like they totally overcharged me. I went back again, which was a big mistake because they could get me in a lot quicker than the other places in town. The problem is they get it in quicker but don't even look at it for a week. I took it in because the handle on the sewer broke so I knew it would be a very crappy job so I expected the $181 they charged but when they called to say it was done I asked if they knew why the generator wasn't charging the battery. She called back an hour later and said it was fixed. When I got there the bill was $100 more so I asked him what he did. He showed me in the back that it wasn't plugged in. So basically I paid him to push the plug in! I asked him why he would charge so much and he said he had to look under the bed first and that took extra labor. Well if you knew anything at all about RVs wouldn't you look in the obvious and easiest spot first? I am a widow so I had a husband that took care of this kind of stuff and you better believe they wouldn't take advantage of him like they have me. Needless to say I won't be going back there again!

We respectfully do not recommend South Valley RV Repair

We took our motor home to South Valley Repair to leave for 2 weeks while house sitting our son's house. We needed an oil change, check wheel bearings, make sure seal good on slide out, check breaks, gas heat was not working, steps would not go in and the generator would not start. $1100.00 later we got an oil change, 2 wheel bearings on the car dolly packed and two batteries. We were charged time to check the generator, gas heat turn on and steps none of which issues were resolved.

1. The generator a friend looked at and discovered that the frame had been painted and the generator was not getting a good ground. Our friend scraped paint off the frame, re-grounded the generator and works great now.

2. Gas heat turning on we had a heating and cooling person come out he removed the thermostat and found the wire to run the gas heat had been clipped. The heating and cooling person installed new thermostat and gas heat works great.

3. Our steps would not go in. When we finally were able to get our RV back 2 days late the South Valley RV person said he had installed a $190 part on the steps however he was not sure if that was the correct part. He said the steps would not stay out now. Every time you open and close the door the steps would go in and out. This happened for 2 days and then the steps quit working altogether.

We were in constant contact with South Valley RV to update when issues were fixed on the issues we were charged time to troubleshoot with no resolution from South Valley RV. We also asked him to take care of the step issue. For 2 weeks we were told he South Valley RV was not able to contact Kwikee steps to confirm if the new part installed was correct. We finally went on the internet and updated South Valley RV we found Kwikee steps had been sold and how to contact the current help desk. South Valley RV then updated that they had talked to Kwikee steps and the part was correct and that Kwikee steps advised South Valley RV other troubleshooting options. South Valley RV said repair person would come to where we were parked in the next week to check the steps out. We said that was great we would be in town for another week and then gone for a week. We never heard from South Valley RV over the 2 week time period. After 2 weeks we called South Valley RV and asked why were not contacted and were told that the repair person had forgotten about it. At this point we asked for a refund for the part installed and that South Valley RV was welcome to come and retrieve the part. We were updated by South Valley RV that they offer no guarantee on their work and parts were guaranteed for 30 days and we were past the 30 day time period. The part would not be refunded. South Valley RV did say they wanted to make things right however it has been 3 weeks since we talked them last. There has been no call asking if they could come look at the steps nothing

The people at South Valley RV seem to be very nice however we will never recommend them or return to have service there. We have friends from Texas that are here and needed an oil change and some simple items worked on. We gave them the 3 names of the RV service businesses in Logan area and advised them not to go to South Valley RV.
