It was discrimination.

It's crazy how people judge your clothing by how much you make, I didn't expect to go to the mall and everyone was looking at me in my onesie of corse and as I went with my mom to the Aldo's store in Watertown the judgment was a real eye opener. I observed other customers with fashion forward clothing, and since my mother and I were not wearing Expensive clothes or looked presentable we were discriminated against, there was a wonderful young woman who tried her best to assist us, but when she had another customer to attend we asked assistance from another associate who was reluctant to present requested shoes and when asked for a smaller heal, he told us there was none and when my mom started looking for herself she made it clear to him that there was some. One example of rudeness was snatching the heal from my mom (unnecessary). To top it off when he was confronted about his attitude he stated "thats how I am." We left and I stated a few things as I was walking away. I was looking for shoes to wear for a babyshower and was willing to spend a good amount of money but I guess since my mother and I were not flashy or fashion forward we were not worthy. I could have shut his mouth and spent my shoe budget there but that was not the principal nor was he worthy of my money and my coming back there ever again.

The lesson is you do not treat people that way no matter what they look like or what they wear you give them the same service you would a person with Chanel or Gucci. I work a corporate job and treat the executives the same as the maintenance workers because they are all people just like me and I do not discriminate.
