The Tri-County Child & Family Development Council offers a range of support services for children and their families. The organization focuses on the emotional, mental and physical development of children. It has been in operation since 1965 and administers a variety of child development programs. The organization also operates various early childhood education and parent involvement programs. The Tri-County Child & Family Development Council offers meal, health care and social services. The organization works in partnership with the Independence Community School District and the Kidsville Child Care Center. The Tri-County Child & Family Development Council offers the Head Start program for children up to the age of 5 in Black Hawk, Buchanan and Grundy counties in Iowa.
