Kevin Ruedisueli provides architectural services in Loudoun County and Northern Virginia. His work has involved not only new construction, but also numerous old and historic properties in rural and small town settings. Many projects have been in historic districts. He is interested in contextual design, adaptive re-use, sustainability, and historic preservation. Ruedisueli has been associated with a range of projects including residences, additions, farm wineries, and small offices and retail, with construction budgets ranging from $100,000 to $3,000,000. He has designed many single family homes, several timber frame projects, revitalized old farm homes--bringing them into the 21st century, repurposed farm structures into homes and home offices, and fit new buildings onto properties between existing historic buildings. Working in historic districts, he has worked with and gained the approval of historic district review boards, the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. While practising primarily in Loudoun County, VA, he has worked on projects in Northern Virginia, Central Virginia, Maine, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Wyoming, and Costa Rica. Ruedisueli tailors services to suit the needs of each client whether they be a home owner, developer, or non-profit organisation. He is a licensed member of the A.I.A. and has with more than thirty years of construction and professional experience. After receiving his Masters in Architecture from MIT, he chose to work in the building trades as a carpenter and general contractor for twelve years before turning to his professional career. He has practised as Kevin Ruedisueli, Inc. since 1991.
