I've never been in Main Street Mercantile, but I recommend doing business there for the following reason: We were flying out of Puerta Vallarta when I security discovered I had forgotten my Leatherman tool in my carry-on, so I took it back to check-in to learn my options. The Alaskan Air clerk was sympathetic, but couldn't offer much help since our check bags were long gone. Upon hearing this a tall woman with pretty eyes said I could put in she and her husband's bags if we were going to Portland. I said we were going to Seattle, upon which she responded, "Oh, OK, just give me your address and I'll mail it." I tried to give then cash to cover the postage at least, but they wouldn't think of it. It is nice to know there are people like this in the world, and I recommend frequenting their establishment based on this alone.
