OK, I NEEDED A TRANSMISSION ON MY F150 SO I CALLED AROUND FOR THE CHEPEST QUOTE I COULD FIND I LIVE IN HUBBARD , I CALLED WEST SIDE TRANSMISSION THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE FROM 1300-1500 AND A 1 YEAR WARRENTY. HAD MY TRUCK TOWED WAY OUT THERE COST ME 75. TO GET IT THERE . I WENT IN AND TOLD THEM I'M HERE. THEY SAID THEY DONT KNOW WHO I TALKED TO THEY DON'T DO a YEAR WARRENTY AND IT WOULD COST 1597.00 OUT THE DOOR.WITH A 6 MOUNTS WARRENTY, GREAT WOW THANKS IM THANKFUL THAT PEPOLE LIKE THIS TREAT VETS THIS WAY. OIF . NOW I GET MY TRUCK 1597.00 OUT THE DOOR.
A WEEK LATER.
I PULL UP TO MY HOUSE AND PUT IT IN PARK AND GET OUT OF MY TRUCK.
MY TRUCK GO'S BACKWARDS DOWN THE THE STREET I RUN AFTER IT JUST CACHING IT RIGHT BEFOR HITTING A HOUSE . BUT TORE UP THE PEPOLE'S YARD.I CALLED WEST SIDE THEY TOLD MY TO BRING IT IN NO BIG DEAL WE WILL FIX IT IT'S A 15 MIN JOB. YA LUCKEY IF MY TRUCK DIDN'T KILL ANYONE. THANK GOD

Update 47k later transmission went out again. Prices are fair, work up to standard . Staff very friendly and professional. When they rebuilt my transmission they discovered additional repairs that were needed and included those repairs without additional labor costs; I bought and delivered the needed parts so they didn't make any extra off those repairs in parts markup. They went out of their way to make the job right.- You can't ask for more than that from a repair shop; definately more than you would expect these days. Take all reviews with a grain of salt and be sure to check the reviewers history - some people never have anything good to say about anyone or anything. I call 'em like I see 'em and believe in being honest and fair.



Now, what you may not know about having a transmssion rebuilt is, generally speaking, most transmissions are rebuilt from basic rebuild kits. There are standard kits, deluxe kits and generic kits. Not everything in your transmission is replaced regardless of what you may be told or promised...The price of the rebuild usually depends on which kit the shop or mechanic prefers to use. The cheaper the price the fewer the parts they, or he plans to replace. The more parts replaced the better the rebuild outcome will be - usually. The better shops charge more simply because they prefer to use the more expensive and extensive rebuild kits - typically because experience has taught them there will be fewer returns therefore less warrenty work necessary by using certain brand and type of kits. Always compare apples to apples not dollars to dollars.. just a little FYI.



And NO, I am not related to anyone at Westside Transmission - I am however a former GM trained Auto Mechanic that doesn't like doing AT work.

Took my car in wed. for a tranny leak was very pleased with the work and price and i checked alot of garages.Will be taking all mine n kids car there for all my mechanical work now.

Took my car there wed for tranny leak,was very pleased with the work and price,they are under new ownership and called (westside transmision plus), i will be taking my vehicles there for everything now.

Could not believe my experience here as I generally hate taking my car in for any type of repairs as I generally expect to be ripped off, it was different at this place, my car got fixed and the prices were the best I could find.
