Prices are too high.

Some examples:

There was a used blanket that had the TARGET tag and price on it. Goodwill's price was the same price as Target's sale price for the same item. How does Goodwill justify pricing this 2nd hand item at the same price as if I went into Target and bought it new?

The store also had dollar store items missing pieces priced 3x higher than the original dollar store price.

I also agree that the prices at this Goodwill in Wappingers Falls, are to high on many items . I shop here at least 2-3 times a week and one thing I also notice that out of all the book this store here has, you can never find a school or college textbook or any kind of educational textbook among their thousands of books. As if a work is taken themselves and not placing them on the shelfs. Textbooks sells for a lot of money , of course , and I believe someone is taken them once there are donated. I have never seen a textbook or education book at this location and I am very sure that people are donating them. I shop at other goodwills in NY and see textbooks all the time , but never in the Wappingers Falls GoodWill

goodwill a profit store.

Hello thanks for have this space to express, what we think. This time is about GOODWILL SUPERSTORE. The prices they charge for things are so high. they open that store to make a good profit.not to help people with litle income. I ask my self, is any person with authority can go there and check, and make any action, to help us. thanks.

Hello, my name is Sean and I am currently a cashier at the Goodwill in Wappingers Falls. All I will say is that our prices are relative to the current economy in New York, not a desire to profit. Roughly 90% of our income is donated directly to charities helping the mentally and physically handicapped. No single employee, no matter how high up the latter, benefits from our prices being the way they are, and in fact, if they were any lower it is likely that we wouldn't be able to support the store. All we ask is that you please refrain from complaining about things that you don't fully understand. Thank you
