The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is one of the largest sheriff's departments in the world and focuses on providing a wide range of crime prevention services. In addition to specialized services, such as the sheriff's youth foundation, international liaison and employee support services, the department is divided into more than 10 divisions, each controlled and supervised by a division chief.
