Back in the spring of 1969 the late Carl S. Gelo along with son David started in business as Carl S. Gelo & Son working out of a 2 car garage. They moved into their 1st building on No. Cherry St in Wallingford in the fall of 1969. In 1978 David’s wife Rosanne took over the inside office sales and bookkeeping. In 1988 the company bought and moved into their existing office location at 29 North Plains Highway in Wallingford. In the early 90’s due to the large infusion of vinyl products in the industry the name was changed to Gelo Exterior Home Improvements, Inc., keeping the family name and introducing vinyl products as times changed
