Northwood Middle School is a learning institution that promotes students intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth through instructional techniques and participation in a variety of learning opportunities. The middle school teaches various subjects, including math, social studies, English, computer skills, reading, writing, music and physical education. It also provides special education programs for students with learning disabilities. In addition, the school conducts guidance counseling sessions to assist students in the areas of listening and study skills, behavior, peer problems, self esteem and family issues. It is a part of Wa-Nee Community Schools, which operates elementary, middle and high schools. Northwood Middle School is located in Wakarusa, Ind.
