My family decided to order a few axolotl from here. They took our order and when they arrived told us we could come get them. My wife took off from work early and took my son to go get them today. Upon arrival after 1:30 in the car. My very excited 7 year old son was told they they were all dead and someone should have called us. He had picked out names and spent countless hours researching them and their care. To find out they are dead so callously was beyond unprofessional. To make us drive 3 hours (round trip) for that info was even worse. The manager assigned blame to someone else and offered to let my family view the dead animals. The only positive of the day is that I was not there to deal with this complete train wreck and disrespect of my family personally. Mistakes and the unexpected death of the order aside, the way they handled it in front of a child is the only reason needed to stay away from this business. I hope that all employees can find future employment with a company that offers training in such matters, they won't always be fortunate enough to get to deal with shocked and wounded children.
