Worse experience Ever. After moving to the area had opened several accounts with Volunteer Federal. Personal and Business. After having been treated badly. There was one employee up there who was very good to me. If I didn't manage to get her I always had some kind of problem getting my transactions done without a hurdle to jump over. But the worse was the drive through the girl AMANDA who worked the drive through always looked for any excuse not to complete the transaction. My husband told her time and time again I did his banking personal and business, yet she would try and say he had to be with me in order for her to allow the transaction. The girls on the inside of the bank would cash the check for me but at 4:45 friday afternoon the drive though was only thing open. Amanda said can't cash this for you without your husband being here or your name has to be on it. So I took the check and added my name beside his. She said no good now the check is void. I said call the guy who wrote it. She knew him in town. She did and he said go ahead and cash it. She still refused and she ripped up the $5000.00 check saying it was no longer any good. We have banked there for years. Its not like she didn't know us. SMALL TOWN. It was just a power trip. Give her to much power and misused it. Still did not lose her job. Needless to say I never returned to that bank and closed all accounts. I NOW Bank with Capital Bank formerly Green Bank. They are a refreshing change of pace. They have went above and beyond the call of duty for me since day one. Never allow you to walk away from them unhappy. They will do whatever they can to get it done. As a former Accountant I have dealt with many banks over the years and by far CAPITAL BANK has held the highest standards.
