I made an appointment for an eye exam, & arrived on time. I addressed one of the staff, & was told that the doctor was on a lunch break. This is because the doctor's previous appointments ran overtime, & he/she was unable to leave for his/her lunch break at his/her regular time. Instead, the doctor left for a lunch break at the time I was scheduled for my eye exam.I live an hour away from Visalia - the place for my appointment. I purposely freed my schedule to make this exam. I drove an hour for this, & would have to drive an hour back, without any results.
I was first told that the doctor would be back in an hour,& I could either wait an hour to be seen, or reschedule my appointment. Though I was upset to hear this, I was ready to wait an hour.Another member of the staff tnotified me that I would have to wait longer than the previously mentioned hour to be seen. This is because there were people ahead of my appointment time, who had not yet been seen since previous appointments from earlier in the day ran overtime& now the doctor went to lunch. This staff member explained that the doctor cant control this schedule, thus the appointments ran overtime& other people besides myself would have to wait more than an hour to be seen.There is no respect for the time of their customers. It doesn't make sense to schedule people if the doctor cant keep up with the appointments, so everyone can be met on time. I was also not notified of this delay ahead of time& had to drive an hour to learn this information.I am very disappointed& if you value your time, this is not the place to service your needs. I regret not looking at the reviews of this place before I made the appointment. I see 1-2 star reviews consistently cropping up. I wonder how these reviews keep appearing; it seems as though the business owners are completely ignoring comments about people's experiences. I am glad that I avoided this service completely, having read the stories of others who were not as fortunate.

Stay away!!!!! bad peoples skills!!!

We decided to move my entire family to Stanton Optical because of their advertised specials. My wife and I and our son all had exams and we all, except for my wife purchased contacts and glasses. Our experience has been that the side of the business selling the contacts and glasses was wonderful. No complaints. But everyone of us have serious complaints about the examining doctor. He was rude and rushed us through without doing a thorough job. He ended up prescribing the wrong things first to me, and had to correct it and now to my wife. That was the last straw. She went to Lenscrafters the next day and got a completely different prescription after an exam. The pair of contacts Stanton gave her irritated her eyes and were obviously wrong. The doctor told her that her eyes would just have to get used to it. He is a quack. She left in tears he was so rude. We will never go back, which is unfortunate for the other people in the organization because they were all nice and competent. But when you have an incompetent examining doctor that is a deal breaker.
