Let me start by saying that it is so rewarding to find someone as knowledgeable, dependable and honest as the JT Mechanical Company. After estimates and talking to two other companies, I decided on JT Mechanical to replace my old HVAC system.

Jeff Thomas, the owner, went into an extensive amount of detail explaining the system’s workings, my options, and the various benefits. Answering all my questions. I decided on replacing my old system with a Carrier Infinity System.

The installation crew, headed by Jeff’s son Mike, started and arrived on time. They were respectful of my home, covering my floors with tarps, wearing shoe booties, vacuuming, cleaning up and removing all debris.

From start to finish, this job was a pleasant experience. I couldn’t be happier with my new system. My thanks to Jeff and his employees for great work and a good job.

Woke up this morning to a freezing cold house. Our furnace wasn't working. Called JT as they'd done work for us in our previous VA Beach home and were very helpful and reasonably priced then. They came out today within 3 hours of our call, right at the promised time, and fixed the issue for a minimal charge. Since we just moved to this house in Chesapeake recently, Mike even looked up the serial numbers of our other components to inform me of when they were installed and what was covered in the warranties. JT Mechanical will always be my first call for HVAC issues.

On July 1, 2014 My AC Unit went out in 100 degree weather. The unit itself would come on but nothing would blow of the vents. I called Tommy Tillery he said he would be here with in the hour. Tommy came on time as he said, checked the unit out found the and found the problem. When Tommy was finished my home felt like a blizzard. My 21 year old Carrier AC finally gave up after all these years of service to me. I found JT Mechanical Co. on the internet and decided to give them a call. Jeff came out and we discussed what my needs are and he advised me what would be best for my home. I completely trusted Jeffs recommendation based on his knowledge and honesty and decided to follow his advice. One week later the crew arrived, Mike, David and Chris. These men are REMARKABLE, PROFESSIONAL EFFICIENT and kind. It took 2 days to install my new air conditioner, furnace and water heater as well as one new vent under the house and one new vent in the attic. Everything was insulated and installed perfectly and all this done with no mess at all in my home. My new Carrier system is wonderful and so is the water heater. JT Mechanical is my HVAC company FOREVER. Thank you!!!!

These guys are very professional. Called them and worked with my schedule came right out to check out my system. They took care of the problem and educated me to be able to get most out of my system. I highly recommend them. Very reasonable on price.

Neil and Ryan came to my home to find out why my AC was not cooling. They were polite, professional and VERY efficient at what they do. The problem was identified and repaired quickly. after the repair they checked the rest of the system to ensure there were no other "chain reaction problems" I could not be happier with their work and price . JT Mechanical phoned me to advise that their technicians were enroute. Neil and Ryan arrived promptly as scheduled. They got to work quickly. Neil and Ryan were thorough, proficient, respectful, and articulate. Service was great and I would not hesitate to do business with this company again. In fact, the way that these two conducted themselves was a driving factor in my decision to engage JT Mechanical as my recurring HVAC service provider.

I was a little apprehensive about going with JT Mechanical because I had never used them before and I was relieved to have a good experience with their technician Neil Lyon. Neil was professional during the initial greeting, he was courteous by wearing shoe covers at all times when walking inside, and was respectful and patient with all of my many questions. The prices were very reasonable, no complaints at all. Overall great service.

I highly recommend this company. Personnel are very professional and extremely efficient. They arrived early, covered carpet and stairs with drop cloth to keep everything clean. Finished the installation on time, cleaned up everything afterwards and followed up to ensure that everything was in good working order.

We bought our " dream" home in Aug 2010. After a year of throwing money for heating/cooling out through the attic I decided to have it converted to an unvented attic. I hired Jeff to give our HVAC system a grooming before that work was done. I called on a Wednesday, JT Mech came to check out the job on Thursday morning. They gave me a quote and said they may be able to start the next day, Friday. Within an hour of leaving(Thursday), Jeff called back and asked if they could start in a hour; Absolutely i said! During their review of my 2 HVAC systems, they saw that the previous owners had cut ducting to a bedroom but had never closed up the register; JT Mech reattached the ducting. They saw that the dryer, 2 bathroom and the gas stove exhausts were all venting in to the attic. JT Mech made all vent to atmosphere. Thirty five years ago when my house was built I was at sea when the AC/ Heat was installed. The AC installer was incompetent. Last year I had two major AC/ Heat company guys come and take a look. They didn't see any easy solutions. I found JT Mechanical and Jeff Thomas on the internet. He quickly saw a potential solution and proposed it in detail. In less than two weeks working under arduous conditions he completed a major installation of Carrier equipment. Jeff is a very competent engineer, and a pleasure to work with. JT has been our contractor for 10+ years, I cannot say enough good about him and his company. He is fast, efficient and reasonable. He serves our personal home and our rental units. When one of our rental ac/ heating units died the day one tenant moved out, he installed a new one in less than one day. Thus saving us any 'downtime' between tenants. I highly recommend this company!

I have been a customer with JT Mechanical for over 15 years and highly recommend them. They are always prompt and respond immediately when there are problems with our units. Jeff has always given us all the options and not just the most expensive. I feel very comfortable with Jeff and his son in my home. The is icing on the cake is that they are kind and patient with my yappy dogs. I have recommended them to many of my friends throughout the years and everyone has always been very happy with their services, I cannot recommend them highly enough!

They have always been there for us whenever we call and respond in a timely manner. It's just not about a "sell or repair" to them, but what is best for you and your needs. Our church, family and several friends would all agree to this. This is what makes a good contractor. Highly recommended. Jeff Thomas is very thorough and professional. He is the guy who comes and does the estimate and he is also the guy who does all the install. Much better than the local large companies.I had a complete system installed including all new ducts and returns in the attic.
