Overall, FMP isn't too bad at all and the staff is wonderful but be careful if you see Dr. Ryan W. Ingram. Not only is he arrogant but he will do blood work that isn't needed, want to pretend to be your primary care provider by discussing and attempting to correct things you and your primary care doctor should be doing. And god forbid you tell him you don't wish to discuss those issues with him because he will kick you out of the FMP practice all together. It's sad be has to treat people like that.

WOW! Who are you people who give such bad reviews of this place? I have been coming here for over 11 years with none of these issues mentioned. All calls that I make are returned, all meds called in (if I've seen my doc recently) and the chairs in the waiting room have never been sticky or trash on the floor. Yes, sometimes they are SO busy you may be put on hold, but no one has EVER been rude to me over the phone. I have many health related issues and am managed very well. You know, if there are a few drops of urine on the seat, that is NOT the nursing or doctor staff with which to deal. They get very busy and the patients are their first priority. So, wipe off the drops yourself, wash your hands and just go. Then wipe off your own drops. This place is the bomb!!! I HATE that I have to move out of state and leave them all!

The Doctors at FMP are great, and the whole staff is SO friendly. I don't understand how the other reviewers could have had such a bad experience, because I have been a patient at this practice for over a decade, and I could not imagine going any place else! The Doctors, even when I have to see someone other than my regular Doctor are always very helpful, and thanks to all of them, my problems are well managed and I'm in great shape! Thank you to ALL the staff at FMP.. I tell all my friends if they are looking for a good practice to change to.. this is it!

Dirty Clinic and Rude Staff PLEASE READ

I had a total of three appointments over the course of several weeks. One for my son and two for me. I waited over 90 minutes for each appointment without any explanation or even a simple "We'll be right w/ you" or "The Dr is running behind" .

The waiting room is dirty (sticky chairs and trash on the floor and under the seats: a half empty Starbucks cup and used tissues) The bathroom had urine on the seats and the floor, garbage was overflowing, and no soap in dispenser)

Dr. Peter Kemp is condescing and arrogant. He answered each of my questions w/ a slight eye roll and quick answer as if my presence was a burden. I walked the wrong way down the hall to the exit and he actually yelled at me, "It's THIS way!!" and then shook his head annoyed. He yelled at my kids who were sitting there talking quietly. He told them to be quiet and that he would not put up with them and that he had no problem "putting them out" and then told my daughter to give the DS she was playing with to my son since it was his DS and not hers. (Mind you, I cleared it w/ the office as well as a nurse a day before the appointment that my kids would accompany me since my husband couldn't take off work. I would have gladly rescheduled. They said it was fine to bring them and that they would just sit them in the nurse's station when it was time to examine me. I thanked them graciously and went to my appointment figuring there would be no problem) I was shocked when he yelled but I kept my mouth shut. There I was sitting in the paper gown after waiting almost three hours (I also had to wait a 1/2 hour in the exam room. I don't know why; there were very little patiens in the clinic) but I should have just redressed and left and looked for a new Dr. Later my husband called since it had been over 3 hours for a 10 minute appt. He was actually home from work before us. (I couldn't call him from my cell phone to tell him we'd be late since there were signs everywhere in the clinic threatening a charge if we were to use our cell phones) Peter Kemp told my husband that he "certainly doesn't need to explain himself to someone in the military". He was very patronizing and talked down to my husband. A week later I received a letter from the office manager stating that I am no longer a patient at Family Medical and not welcome back. Also as an added bonus to my punishment, I never received the results of my pelvic exam even though I was told I'd receive them in the mail a week or 2 later. My insurance company had to request the results 3 times! I finally received them a whole year later. It was a slap in the face to receive this kind of careless treatment from "professionals" since I remained quiet, uncomplaining, and polite the whole time.

Awful Customer Service

Recently, I've been looking for a new PCP, and upon the recommendation of a co-worker who was a patient there, so I scheduled an appointment. The woman who scheduled the interview was friendly, and everything was good to go. Two hours prior to my appointment, I was called and informed that my doctor couldn't make our appointment for personal reasons and I needed to reschedule. I know that stuff can come up, and doctors are people too, so I rescheduled for the next day. When I arrived, I was told that I was ten minutes late (not the time I was told over the phone) because I was required to check in early, something I wasn’t told over the phone. Not only this, but the doctor had already gone home for the day. Obviously, he has enough patients. I was then audaciously asked if I'd like to reschedule, AGAIN. The nurses were nice enough at first impression, but in person they were snaky and condescending. This practice is business as usual for the medical community, NOT RECOMENDED.
