I have had a great experience with this credit union for over fifteen years.

My wife and I have found the servies provided by the BEACH MUNICIPAL FEDERAL CREDIT UNION (located on Nimmo Parkway near Virginia Beach Municipal Court), severely sub-standard for individuals that are not of Caucasian skin color. My Wife, an Iraq War Veteran whom is of Latin American descent, was subject to unequal treatment from each of the tellers/clerks, as well as Cheryl (the Branch Manager). Despite the humiliation of 20 "sarcastic" minutes of identification checks (which went above and beyond what is considered legitimate), the tellers were extremely rude. The Branch Manager "Cheryl" somehow still found my Wife's Military Identification card, along with a Virginia Driver's Liscense (all valid) insufficiant to conduct any further business. After my wife returned and explained the scenario to me, I decided to question what had gone so wrong....

Being a Caucasian Disabled Irag War Veteran, it took me a while to get into the establishment (which wasn't set up for handicapped access...). I proceeded to the teller area where my Wife's "previously denied" transaction was dealt with. As anticipated, my transaction was carried out in a very quick and happy manner (no more than 2 minutes). Proof of my Identification wasn't even requested by anyone there. When I felt I had seen enough, I questioned the tellers about the absurdly, disgusting treatment they expressed with my wife...(I received No answers). It was at this time Cheryl quickly proceeded to her cubicle as to avoid any communication. Obviously she was not going to be of any help. I went to the receptionist and requested a complaint form but was only offered computer paper. With the intent on addressing the problem with Wendy Weber (Head Manager) but it seems there are no contacts for any customer service representatives that deal with complaints.

I definately DO NOT RECOMMEND this establishment! What-so-ever...
