Sunday April 3 at 11 AM, Antioch Christian Church will be hosting a Youth Sunday. Youth will lead the communion service, lead the greeting time, lead the music and Becca Toser will be the youth guest speaker. Becca recently received the award for 3rd place in DECCA for the State of Virginia. The community is invited to attend. Lenten Services Palm Sunday Sunday April 17: Antioch Christian Church will host Palm Sunday: a Celebration of Praise. The Community will have an opportunity to praise the Lord by offering a prayer, giving a testimony, providing special music or doing a religious reading, which praises the Lord. Please e-mail Neil Romstedt or Terry Wigglesworth or call the church to indicate that you would like to offer a praise to the Lord so that you can be added to the order of service. Thursday April 21 at 6: 30 PM: Antioch Christian Church will host a Passover Seder meal for the entire family and the community is invited to attend.This meal is a way Christians Celebrate our common ancestry with our Jewish families around the Passover supper. Friday, April 22 at 7: 30 PM: Antioch Christian Church is inviting the community to attend the Annual Good Friday service. Good Friday is the day of solitude where Christians reflect upon the death of Jesus. Sunday March 24 at 7: 00 AM: Antioch Christian Church invites the public to attend an Easter Sunrise Service in the "Groves" next to Antioch Christian Church. The celebration of the "Rise of the Son" Jesus Christ will include guitar music, an inspirational message and prayer for one another. A continental breakfast will be served following the sunrise service. Please bring Lawn chairs and your favorite breakfast food. Rain location will be the Sanctuary of Antioch Christian Church. Sunday March 24 at 11: 00 AM: The church will host the "Celebration Easter Service" with the Chancel Choir of Antioch presenting Special Music and a Message by pastor Randy Beeman. Antioch Christian Church of Vienna, Virginia, is a welcoming community that dates back to 1903. A shared faith in Jesus Christ is the common thread that unites us as disciples. Stressing the centrality of the Bible in faith and the call for unity among Christian believers of all denominations, Antioch is an independent congregation affiliated with Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This ecumenical denomination was formed during the early 1800s on the American frontier. Its founders were Scottish Presbyterians who sought to be free from the sectarian divisions of Europe in the expression of their faith. They rejected the traditional creeds of the church as "tests of faith, " claiming Christ alone as their creed and the Bible as their book. They founded a church for people who wanted to be Christians only, but not the only Christians. In stressing unity, therefore, we do not expect uniformity. There is much diversity of thought among members. It is our shared faith that ties us together.
