Food and service was nothing but Outstanding! My wife and I both had BLT’s. Hers had fried green tomatoes and avocado and I had just avocado on a standard BLT. It was delicious! As we were finishing the counter person brought us some fried pork rind with their pepper sauce on them. I very cautiously tried one. A sweet slightly peppery flavor invaded my taste buds. DELICIOUS! DO NOT LET THE APPEARANCE OF THE BUILDING FOOL YOU! This is a great find. Oh, I almost forgot. We brought home some bread pudding. Again outstanding!

We never would have found this place if the lady at the visitor's booth in the national park hadn't recommended it. From the outside it looks like a road-side vegetable stand, and you can get fresh fruit and veggies, but you can also get some wonderful prepared meals. My husband had the beef po-boy and marinated salad. His plate was piled high, and he said both were wonderful. I had a grilled cheese with fries, and they were excellent too. Don't miss the freshly made lemonade either! The dining area is open-air, even inside, and makes you feel like you've found the real delta. The staff are very friendly and fun. Don't miss this place when you're near Vicksburg.
