They’re still in business because nobody pays any attention to what they actually do. I watched a lawn treatment today, and was surprised to see how little the technician actually sprayed on the lawn -- less than 25% coverage. The tech was done in 15 minutes (and we have a huge lawn), and I felt annoyed we had just been just charged $90 for so little. I called their “office manager”, voiced concern the sprayer was used so little. She said “Once the sprayer is turned on, it stays on the whole time until they are done, then they turn it off”. I told her we saw it with our own eyes, and that’s certainly not what happened. Before I was done speaking, she interrupted to ask who our technician had been. I told her, and her next response was “he’s a senior tech -- one of our best”. After feeling she was questioning the veracity of our complaint, I then told her additional concerns: 1) he didn’t roll over all the yard, 2) he didn’t bother to move a wheelbarrow to treat that area, and 3) the limited spraying & coverage we witnessed might explain why earlier weeds were not diminished after their first treatment. When I was done, there was some delay, then she came back on the phone and told me that while I was talking, she went ahead and called her technician to discuss what happened. She literally ignored me, and didn’t bother telling me she was not even on the phone. This really irritated me. Next she told me her tech said “no, they don’t spray all the grass, they only spray where the weeds are”. This of course contradicted her earlier BS assertion to me that “once the sprayer is turned on, it stays on”. After that, she proceeded to pretty much talk over the top of me, no matter what I said. When I finally did get her snotty attention, I let her know we were done with their service for good. I won’t pay a dime to a company that employs such a snippy, arrogant, and condescending "customer service" person. I wonder if she/they know who actually pays their wages?

I do not agree with the 2 prev...

I do not agree with the 2 prev. reviews, I have been a customer of Keyman for 6yrs and they have always gone above and beyond to help keep our lawn weed free and healthy as well as keep our mole problem under control, this year with the drought they have offered suggestions and completed the work timely. They do not have control over the wether or control of the lawn owners follow up care. I have not had to deal with the office staff much in the past but when I have I also had no problems. I have and will continue to recommend this company for lawn care.

Have to agree with the previous...very rude and arrogant... which is surprising because their service sucks. I made the mistake of trying them because I wanted to support a local business.... Now I have even less empathy for local businesses!

Very rude office staff. Poor ...

Very rude office staff. Poor results. I used them for 5 years and had a below average lawn compared to my neighbors who used other companies, despite me aerating, overseeding, dethatching and watering regularly. My lawn also had more weeds and crabgrass than others. This year I decided to use another company and did not hire Keyman. I never sent in the renewal of service form that I did the previous years. Despite me not contacting them to renew their service, they came and did the first lawn application of the year. I had already hired another company. They then incessantly sent me frequent bills for the service I never ordered. When I talked to the office staff, they were incredibly rude and kept telling me it was my fault that they did a lawn treatment despite me not renewing service with them. I was pleasant and professional with them, and unfortunately they were not. The woman I spoke with was very rude and then hung up on me. Very unprofessional, and I wouldn't recommend using this company.
