Avoid these people at all costs.

I had a temp job through these people and was let go from my assignment. I called in every week for work and they had nothing for months. Meanwhile, they used every trick in the book to fight my unemployment claim. I eventually won, but it took months and months to collect the back benefits, I actually had to take off work to attend these phone hearings. Besides hiring an unscrupulous company to contest these claims (Unemployment Consultants, Inc.), they are more than willing to lie under oath.

During the last phone hearing, the owner of the company claimed that I refused a job offer on a Sunday (the UI benefit period started on a Sunday). He told a ALJ they called me with a job offer on a SUNDAY, and I refused it. They claimed I refused a job, on a Sunday, that they NEVER offered me. These people weren't very good at calling me back during the week, much less on a Sunday. Another trick they like to pull is to file multiple objections, resulting in multiple hearings. If they lose one hearing on one topic, they can win another hearing on another topic thereby canceling out your benefits.

If you have the misfortune to deal with these people, heed my advice:

1. Keep track of all contact with your phone records. These people will claim that you are not calling in to look fr work, or that they called you on a Sunday. The easiest way to disprove this is by submitting your phone records. If you have a cell phone, all calls are itemized on you bill.

2. Do not count on these people for a job. They actually have very few job listings, and some of the ads they place are for jobs that do not exist. These are the last people you should use to find another job.

3. Be prepared for headaches. Working with these people is awful when they have work available, when there isn't work, they are 100 times worse. There are a lot of other temp agencies out there, avoid the headaches and go with one of them.

The moment I walked in I was treated like a person. I didn't feel rushed or that I was some sort of commodity. They made me feel special and most importantly they got me my dream job. Great experience would recommend for any professional looking for a positive experience with a Staffing Agency.
