PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways Group, operates a fleet of 35 aircraft, including 50-seat Canadair Regional Jets and 32-seat Dornier 328 turboprops. The carrier employs 250 maintenance and engineering staff and operates more than 220 daily flights serving 30 cities in the United States and Canada. PSA has maintenance bases in Canton-Akron and Dayton, Ohio. PSA also has a line maintenance station in Pittsburgh, Pa. In 2005 the American West/US Airways merger was made final. The merger creates the sixth largest airline in the United States. The name of the new combined companies is US Airways with headquarters in Tempe, Ariz. US Airways is the first nationwide low cost, low-fare network airline. As a wholly owned carrier for US Airways, PSA Airlines will be an integral part of the new company providing connecting flights and regional service.
