Dr. Thomas specializes in treating trauma (PTSD) and dissociative disorders including DID. He also has extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, and providing marital counseling and has been providing psychotherapy services for over twenty-five years. He is trained in using EMDR which is very effective in treating trauma. Dr. Thomas' goal is to provide a professional, yet personal atmosphere where you can experience comfort and safety in exploring what is troubling you and find effective tools and skills that you can use in your life. When working with trauma, the healing process can often be frightening and painful to address. Talk alone is not enough and can be retraumatizing in some cases. Dr. Thomas will help you find ways to settle the activation you experience so you can focus, function, and sleep better.Dr. Thomas has helped victims of sexual assault and other crimes, experienced childhood trauma, or been injured in accidents. He has also worked with military veterans, police officers, and firefighters. In therapy you will find acceptance and caring.
