Columbia River Mental Health Services, founded in 1942, is a nonprofit community health center offering medical assistance and health care services to patients. The services offered by the center include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual and group therapies, case management, and drug and alcohol addiction treatment therapies. It also organizes workshops, promotes public awareness, and provides educational and prevention programs in schools and colleges throughout Washington. The additional services offered by the center include supported housing and residential facilities, counseling sessions, 24-hour emergency support and crises intervention. Very poor management and services from the front desk to the counselling.

The management is very unprofessional. The therapist are right out of college and get no training. The ones who have been there awhile are pretty bad too. They have fired many people over the age of 50 lately (to save money). The pay is so low you can receive food stamps. They bully their employees to the point of causing depression and other illnesses. The clients do not get the treatment they deserve which is the most important issue. The therapists are a joke mostly. There might be one or 2 that are good at their job.

Help Them Do No Harm

At this facility they give out daily doses of methadone. I personally know of a whole family that goes through here. I can't understand the philosophy of the program, They all remain sick and unable to function in a work environment or even a social environment of any kind. These people live for those morning doses. And that's it! What is the sense of this? Where are the benefits. I lost my nephew 25 years of age to this so called recovery program. It don't work!! They give these people drugs! and then they go to the street and find more Heroin and no matter how many dirty u/a's as long as your honest they allow it to go on. I am angry. My nephew is dead from overdose of Heroin. he went through this program and it don't work. I want to get my family away from there they need to be hospitalized not doped up, Some one Please tell me how I can get help for the rest of the family before they are all gone from this methadone clinic???
