I brought my dog and they referred him to Dove Lewis. After he left the ICU, Dr. Evert was supposed to treat him for kidney infection and ulcers. Dr. Evert didn't prescribe ulcer medication and refused to give him antibiotics for the kidney infection. She prescribed appetite stimulants. He needed to gain weight before he could have the cancer removed. On February 2 I picked up eye drops and appetite stimulants. Dr. Evert gave him a treat. I told her he was getting stronger and could go up the stairs. I said that once or twice a day he made a sound like he was trying to throw up, but wouldn't throw up and sounded like a human voice. I imitated it and Dr. Evert said it was asthma and she knew because she has asthma. She said after I take a shower to let him stay in the bathroom. His back legs began getting weak. I called on Feb. 6 and left a message for Dr. Evert that he was hungry, but his problem was that his tummy hurt whenever he ate and made noises, and his back legs were getting

We have a lot of pets (rescues). We have been going to Dr. Claus and team since we moved to Vancouver in 2005. The staff treats us like family and we have complete confidence in the recommendations the doctors make. The Dr's understand that, with so many animals, money can be an issue so they are very good about fair and honest recommendations, giving us the information we need to make good decisions about the care we need to purchase.When we first started going to Claus Paws Animal Hospital it was just Dr. Claus, when they expanded their team of doctors we were a little nervous but they have brought in GREAT additions to the team and we are happy to work with any one of them.
