Before getting my car detailed at Automax I decided to look at the business's reviews first and I ended up finding a couple of bad reviews, so I called and spoke to the owner Damian about. He was calm cool and collected over the phone and went into great detail about the customers unhappy experience and he also admitted his shortcomings involving that job. I really admired his honesty and the way he took responsibility for his actions. I also admire anyone who is a small business owner because it's not easy running a successful business and managing employees. I took my Kia Spectra in to get the windows tinted and a full car detail. When I dropped the car off the interior was moldy in places and smelled of cigarette smoke from the previous owner. Damian worked with me a reasonable price and had my car done in a timely manner.
I was beyond impressed! The car was cleaner than I thought it could ever get and it no longer smelt like cigarettes. Damian and his employees are great at their jobs and really have an eye for detail!
I'm glad I took the chance to call the owner and question him about the previous bad review instead of writing him off and finding another place to the work. What I'd like to say is that even bad reviews make for good publicity. Damian has also taken measures as far as I can see to make sure that the previous mistakes that were made before don't happen again! That says a lot because it means that he learns from his mistakes and tries hard not to repeat them.
