My whole family has been taking our cars to Mid Valley Smog for years, and have always been satisfied with the customer service received. Angel and Mike are very personable. The price for the testing is standard in my area, so they aren't overpriced. They are the best! Angel, you're the man!

The DMV Requires a Smog cert, so this is the place I really want to go to. Good reviews (internet and word of mouth), and the location is perfect and centrally located. I have heard good recommendations from friends about a guy named Mike ( He's the owner and he still keeps helping customers).

I recommend this place!

Angel is really an Angel! So is Mike. I take all if my 6 cars to them and have my friends take theirs to get real service.

I had been going here for many years to get my cars smoged. This visit, however, will be my last!



The price for a smog test and cert. is fairly high for the area, $60, though the way they present it they make it seem like you're getting a really special deal. Funny thing was after I was given all kinds of "discounts" off the full price I look over and see a stack of work orders all with the same "discount" price. So, is it really a discount? Nope. It's just a sales pitch to make you think you're being given special treatment.



My mechanic told me to keep my car hot and not let it sit before the tests were run because it was on the verge of failing, so I drove down to Mid Valley Smog and asked them when they could take me and the mechanic said "Come back in an hour". I came back before that hour had passed, just to make sure I was there in time and he was starting another car which I had seen drive in as I was leaving. I asked him about this and he told me I would have to wait an additional 30 minutes for that car to be finished and that he was going to take any car that came in when I was not here ahead of me and that I shouldn't have left if I didn't want that to happen. Um - he said "Come back in an hour." Does that not indicate leave, come back in an hour, and I will take you? I was really ticked.



It wouldn't have been a big deal if I didn't need to keep my car really hot for the test and could have just waited at the shop. Clearly, he didn't have the time or patience to help me out with my situation.



Ironically, the shop is plastered with Bible verses. I definitely was not treated with anything resembling biblical kindness - or even basic respect - during this visit. I'm hoping that the mechanic I dealt with is not the owner, otherwise it's a pretty bad testimony of faith.



The man who used to run this smog shop who I encountered every other time I have been to this location was really a great guy and I didn't think twice about the Bible verses in the shop being ironic, or not really going together with the quality of service. Unfortunately, he seems to have moved on - and now so will I.

My girlfriend was the one who needed the work BAD!!! I was working and couldn't get to her to see what was wrong. Most places were quoting a price to even look at the car. I called the people at Mid Valley and the gent who answered the phone said, "Bring it in" when I tried explaining the problem [the car would shake at stops]. When I asked how much it would be to look at it he said, "Just bring it in."



When I spoke to the owner he gave me the low-down. He had already determined what the problem was and was about to give an estimate. No bs, just what parts and labor would be. They price their labor based on the manufactures guidelines. Nothing more, nothing less. They did take longer than what the guide had estimated but they did a thorough job. And they did show my girlfriend all the parts they had replaced.



We did want additional work done that they forgot to do but as soon as it was mentioned, it took just another 15 min to get it done. They did underestimate the amount of time the mechanic would actually take. But they did have it ready when it was absolutely necessary for it to be done. And my girlfriend says the car has never ran better.



Overall, very satisfied with the experience. My rating is actually a 4 1/2.

Based on my experiance this place is the most honest, trustworthy, and professional auto shop that I have ever seen. They keep a record of the repairs made on my car. They also take pictures while they were repairing my car so I knew that they got the job done. They even gave me my old parts. Unlike some other Auto repair shops. They also have really good prices and they do their work like a pro. They even gave me a warrenty for a whole year. Not just three months like other auto shops. A++++ Shop!
