I just graduated from Marian College & I am so glad I made the decision to go here. It's a fast, super hands on program. I learned so much in my time here and I feel very prepared for my career as a nurse.

The teachers really care about their students' success while IN the program but also after. I already had a job lined up for me right after I graduated!

Enjoyed my time at Marian College & successfully passed the NCLEX exam thanks to their nursing program. The instructors here are very helpful & if you want to get the most out of your experience as a Marian then I highly suggest you interact with the instructors (i.e. asking questions). They are very accommodating & want to help you understand the material. Wouldn't be where I am at now without the help of Marian College.

I was actually surprised to see ANY negative reviews on here when the staff, instruction and overall experience at Marian College is possibly one of the best things to happen to me in my nursing career. I just want to take a second to thank the staff at Marian College for offering me the resources I needed to succeed. For always providing me with the tools I need in the industry! I recommend this school to anyone looking to become a nurse in 2017!

My experience at Marian College was a very positive one. I was very lucky to have instructors that cared. Staff that actually wanted me to succeed. My career would not be as successful as it is today.....if it wasn't for the instructor who helped me with follow up and tips long after I completed my classes. Today I am more than happy to say, I have been self employed for over two and a half years. None of this would have been possible without the follow ups and support from Marian College and from actually pushing me to be successful in my vision.

Don't go to this so called trade college and read all early reviews from 2011. You will regret going to this worst college ever. They steal your money, I went to this school in 2008-2009. They not only stole my hard earning money yet ruined my life. I was a dedicated student who worked hard at trying to keep my grades up but it didn't matter cause 95% majority of one ethnicity (Filipinos) had the leakage and the 5% minority who didn't have the leakage were failing. Sometimes after an exam when you ask a student how did you get that answer they wouldn't even know how they got the answer yet they got an A, should be able to break down your methods of how you came to your answer, yet they didn't know cause they were at home, outside in the parking lot or in streets in back of the college where everyone parks their cars exchanging the leakage just before class begins. I didn't believe this til after they let me go from this college. Kept in touch with few of the student and they told me what was happening in this college. After two years had gone by, one of the friend's came over brought two huge hefty bags of every exams that was ever given at Marian College, in front of my families. Mr. Alvin wife even tried to call me a cheater when she let me go and that hurt feelings came back when I saw every version of the each exams. I let it go and didn't fight with the college about it cause at the end they would have said I cheated, when in gods eyes, I didn't. Then in 2012 & 2014 they sent me a private bill saying I owe them money. For what???? For giving me an unfair education where 95% had the leakage. I be damned if they took anymore money from me, after dealing with them nicely nothing got resolved. Then they sent me a private bill again 2016, this time I was not nice. Spoke with Rowena in financial aid and told her about the leakage, I will not be paying them any further for the unfair education that was given to me and it's not even fair to me to be paying my student loans when I didn't receive a fair education. They charged additional months that I never attended at Marian College. This college is CRAP. There's only one good instructor there Ms. Mildred, who challenges your mind. The rest aren't very good, only read off the book, word per word. They need to hire different ethnicity for instructors to make this a fair college. When you go for the clinicals half the time instructors are only speaking in their own language (Filipino) to the students and when you do ask questions, cause of the language barrier they are not able to articulate in English properly. Bottom line you will not learn to your fullest capacity and you will be ripped off by this so called college, they set you up for failure. Don't go here and read all earlier reviews from the beginning, it's true. I'm only writing this review now after they had the nerve to send me a bill again in 2016. It's not right what they do at this college. I still remember getting a call from Mr. Alvin wife saying I'm doing two final in one week. Giving me only two days to study for GI final when I'm still studying for a final for another subject that was happening two days before. Even the GI final was so outrageously insanely hard that I no one passed.. They let me go after that. They were setting me up for failure purposely. Don't waste your money here, go to a regular normal college LAVC, Pierce, LACC, LBC, Harbor... I could go on forever how horrible Marian College is, stealing everyones hard earning money, my parents worked so hard to put me thru college and when I let them down, it's the worst feeling I had ever in my life. I was suppose to graduate in the fourth quarter three months away from graduating, the look in their eyes still haunts me. Marian College should return my parents money back cause this college has the leakage and for the unfair education, not having proper instructors, setting you up for failure. Stay away from this trade college you will regret it.

So far I've had a pleasant experience at Marian College. Their vocational nursing program is not only challenging, but it's an intimate experience that forces you to learn and understand the material, with an abundance of faculty and resources ready to assist you. The teachers are so nice!! They all want to see you succeed, but you need to put the time and work in. I will certainly miss my time here being a Marian!

I have been graduated for awhile now, but I enjoyed my experience at Marian College while attending. I was at their Van Nuys Campus and the one thing I really loved was the fact that each professor genuinely cared about their students. They did everything in their power to help students pass their courses. Classes are small, but it allowed for a more personalized learning experience that I benefitted from in today's world. Great nursing college in Los Angeles!

Excellent Vocational Nursing program they offer. Teachers are passionate about making sure students are equipped with the skills to survive as a vocational nurse in the real world. I put the time in to actually learn something and was able to pass the NCLEX-PN without much of a problem. It's a shame other reviewers did not feel the same way. I've already recommended this program to a few friends!!

I don't even understand all these negative reviews. I got to experience the students at the Van Nuys some months back and every student I talked to was grateful. Attending Marian College, I realized it was exactly that. Teachers actually care that we pass. And I did!! :)

A Total Nightmare!!!!

DONT GO HERE!!!! You will regret it every single day of your life! This school is horrible every student feels the same way except they to scared to speak up because this school is family owned and they can do whatever they want with your schedule and grade. The schedule is Never stable they don't have enough teachers. The program director is a pervert. The front desk never has answers to your questions. The text in the test are always misspelled and they automatically expect you to know what they ment. The teachers make their own test. And at clinicals we just sit out on the patio. The facilities are crap. They charge 50 $ to retake a test. You have a test or quiz almost every day. There's pretty much nothing good to say about this school. Also if theres any good reviews I'm almost sure the staff at Marian wrote them. Trust me you'll regret coming to this school!!!

It is so sad for some people w...

It is so sad for some people who are trying to find a good school to achieve their goals in life. There are plenty of Vocational Nursing schools who are willing to make money out of unfortunate students. I attended Marian College and the experiences was less inspiring. I am a very good student and studied hard until my graduation. There are times when I'm no longer able to cope from the stress due to lack of sleep for a couple of weeks to pass the exams. This school is not willing to support and help the needs of their students. The lack of understanding and the greediness for money makes this institution a candidate. Take heed before you decide to attend this school. Unfortunately, if you are failing the subjects, then you have to save a lot of money in order to pass it. They are not willing to support their students especially if you're failing. It doesn't matter how hard you study, if you fail, you out. No support. Do yourself a favor, find another school for nursing. The male clinical instructor has no idea why he's there in the first place. He's not even a NURSE, but an LVN. There are no doctors to teach anatomy and physiology. Don't go here. It's sad because they will not even post the negative comments. The truth will always hurt their financial business.
