The Green Army Foundation's,Sponsor our Vets,is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to U.S. Veterans and their families.What we do is bring joy to veterans that have served past and present by giving them gift cards,access to discounts at various local retailers,tickets to concerts and theaters and organizing field trips to bring our veterans together for the sole purpose of having fun,and getting some of their extra needs met.

GREEN ARMY FOUNDATION / SPONSOR OUR VETS



We are so proud to announce that the Green Army Foundation's, Sponsor Our Vets program, held its first event for U.S. Veterans on Friday, December 21, 2012.

A little bit about the event: Our evening begins on a chilly winter evening with a small group of veterans , led by our field trip coordinator, U.S. Veteran, Carmen Estrada, arriving at Al's Chicken in Van Nuys where they were greeted by the Green Army Foundation with a table awaiting them after their long journey from Long Beach, California.

Our group enjoyed a delicious feast of Camille's famous rotisserie chicken and her fresh tossed salads. Over dinner our group got acquainted with one another, had some laughs and had an all-around enjoyable meal together among the warm Al's Chicken staff and the holiday ambiance.





And the evening did not stop there! After dinner it was off to a screening of Charlie Sheen's hit show, Anger Management! Our group arrived at Tamarack Studios in Sun Valley, California where the show is filmed, for a screening of 3 episodes of the hysterically funny, Anger Management. Our group, as well as the intimate crowd, got to visit the actual set of the show, hear some funny monologues by the house comedian, and, of course, watch 3 episodes of Anger Management, which is a very well-written, funny show starring the very entertaining, sometimes chaotic, Charlie Sheen, whom we all know and love.





And wait!! There's more!! At Sponsor Our Vets our goal is to put smiles on the faces of veterans and their families. Our Field trip coordinator, U.S. Veteran, Carmen Estrada, told us of a veteran's family in need this holiday season. We are so proud to say that at the end of the evening, John Szabo of Green Army Foundation's, Sponsor Our Veterans, gifted and presented to Carmen Estrada, a $50 gift card to Toys R Us for the family in need this Christmas. This will be sure to make their holiday all the more special and we are so happy to help and make a veteran's holiday all the more special!
