We'd like to thank ESI General Construction's entire crew for making what could have been a very invasive kitchen project proceed very smoothly, and for producing such a beautiful kitchen... You have not only improved the aesthetics of our home, but revitalized our older kitchen into one that feels new again... In considering all of the money we have spent on home improvements, it was definitely the best money we ever spent.

Ok, here is all you need to know about ESI General Construction:

They state they are BBB accredited. They are not (you can look it up)

They state they have won service awards through Angies List since 2010. They didnt join Angies list until 2012, so that's a lie.

See the photos on their website? Like me you probably think those are projects ESI has completed right? Wrong. Do a Google image search and you'll find most of them are stock photos taken from other sites on the internet.

I see a large number of "A" reviews and some contain photos. Do a Google image search on the photos and you'll see they are also stock photos taken off the internet form other sites. All of them pre-date the reviews, sometimes by years.

Notice how they get streaks of bad reviews until all of a sudden they get "A" reviews every 2-3 days? Now read the reviews - all stellar. Really? Not even a "B" for punctuality occasionally? I strongly suspect most of the reviews have been manufactured. Notice all the different names of the person they worked with? Eli, Mike, Danny, David, Yanni, Yaniv? I have a strong suspicion they are all the same person who just keeps changing his name.

Also, there are 3-4 "other" ESI Construction entries on Angie's list all with horrible reviews, so check those out too. Not sure, but ESI might be changing their name every few years to dodge the angry villagers. They also have been know as ESI, ESI Contractors, Direct Contractors, Inc, ESI Construction - who knows how many more!?

Update: on 10/23/13 another "A" review was posted which sounds like nothing more than an advertisement.



Google search for "ESI General Construction" and you'll find four sites with reviews: Kudzu, Houzz, Yellow pages, Manta. Go look at the reviews. They are all from the exact same people with the same cut/paste reviews. Really? All 13 people felt the overwhelming desire to go and leave the exact same review to 4 relatively obscure sites? I dont think so.



Look at the photos posted to their Yelp page, notice the ones that say "my new kitchen thanks to ESI" or something like that? Those are stock photos as well. Does ESI have a problem with random people posting fake photos to their Yelp page or is this something more underhanded? The swimming pool is the only one that might be legit. Look at the photo of "Eli" below. Do a google image search on it and you'll find 778 sites also using that stock construction worker. Its a fake too!!! Is anything about them real?



My own experience with them was a disaster. Go read any of the D or F comments on Angie's List and you'll get a sense of what they are about. Why bother? With so many red-flags I would just move on to someone else. If ESI spent as much time trying to help their customers as they do writing and posting fake reviews, they might be a much better company.

I wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank you for all the hard work you and your men accomplished in such a short period of time. I still can't believe you were able to tackle such a giant project without asking for an extension. It was a pleasure to work with you. I will highly recommend you to anyone in need of a professional contractor and look forward to future home projects with you.

I've been very happy with our kitchen/bathroom remodels and the recent addition project. We receive many compliments about the way the house looks now and we have peace of mind knowing that there's solid workmanship underneath this nice appearance.

ESI General Construction is an incredible company. From their designer to the owner, they provide a service that is far superior to other renovation companies. ESI General Construction has now done two kitchens and several bathrooms for friends that wehave referred. Their design ideas are fresh and always kept within the ideas of the client. I have been so impressed by their eye for detail and the ability to put together complex orders with no problems at delivery.

I was very happy with everything about ESI General Construction - their professionalism - their timeliness - and overall product delivery. If I ever need a new roof again, I will be sure to call them! Since they did such a great job - I probably won't need one while I'm there!

My wish was to transform an unfinished basement room into a bedroom, and to make it appear as if it had always been a part of the house. The bedroom, which was to be for my son, turned out even better than I imagined. Thanks ESI General Construction
