Nevertheless Ben Hur is the company to call to get the job done right. I scheduled with them 2 weeks prior to the move and as the date approached everything was still going smoothly. Once the movers arrived and started working I was amazed by how professional and quick they worked. Regardless of working fast they were still careful with my belongings and got everything to the new location in good condition. No doubt I will be using them for my next move.

If you value your personal belongings I would not hire Ben Hur to move your things. I hired Ben Hur to move my stuff from North Hollywood to Studio City. Upon arrival at my new place I immediatly noticed that 2 boxes of my DVDs were missing. I reveiw films for a living and the DVDs are essential to my business. I asked the movers if I could inspect the truck to which they agreed. I then called the company to report the missing boxes. They told me to finish unpacking before filing any claims. I insisted that I knew the boxes were missing and got the same response. A few days later I called Ben Hur to again report the missing boxes. They emailed me some claims forms. I filled out the necessary paperwork. After weeks of not hearing from anyone I started calling everyday to check on the status. Finally an offer was sent. The offer was completely unacceptable so I called and asked to speak to the owner. I told him I wanted to meet with him in person because the offer was riduculous and I beleive that the DVDs were stolen. After rescheduling several times, I finally met with the owner and was informed that the DVDs were in fact stolen. The trouble I had to go through just to get reimbursed for what was mine and the fact that they allowed thieves to work for them has me so disgusted that I want to warn as many other people as possible. Do yourself a favor and find another moving company

The only thing I have to say about this company is STAY AWAY!! I recently hired Ben Hur to move locally. I beleive the guy in charge of the group was a cocaine user. He was constantly taking breaks in the bathroom, he would be in there for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. He was fidgety and seemed nervous the whole time. When it came time to pay for the service, he told me that if I gave him a bigger tip the would not charge me for the last hour. AND to top it all off some of my DVDs are missing. I have filed a claim with Ben Hur, and am still awaiting their response. No one ever gets back to me and everytime I call I am told " claims are processed in the order they are received" and that they have not gotten to mine yet. I would advise anyone against doing business with these lowlifes.

WE USED BEN HUR FROM A REFFERAL. I MUST ADMIT, AFTER MOVING FROM NY TO LA WITH BENHUR- AND SEVERAL LOCAL MOVES WITH THEM- THEY ARE A FIRST CLASS COMPANY WITH EXCEPTIONAL MOVERS THAT CARE ABOUT THEIR WORK.
