Regenerative Therapies are rapidly expanding the treatment options for arthritis, chronic tendon injuries and muscle tears. The growth factors contained within or secreted by these substances facilitate tissue healing, improve pain, and aid in restoring function. These injections are intended to treat, ligamentous injuries, tendinopathies, tendon tears, and joint osteoarthritis as well as non-operative spinal disorders.

PRP treatment- wonderful results!

I have been seeing Dr Fitz for years for my back. I recently developed a tear in a muscle in my hip. Dr Fitz suggested a PRP treatment to promote healing in the tear after trying physical therapy for a while. I appreciate his conservative nature in treatment and was excited to see if this new treatment would work. I have had 2 treatments so far. Within days of the 1st treatment I was hiking in Costa Rica with minimal pain and a month after the 2nd treatment (which took a few days to recover fully from) I am back to walking regularly and feel so much better! If a 3rd treatment is needed down the road, I won't hesitate to have it done.

The actual procedure was much easier then I expected.
I was apprehensive but needed to be proactive because
if the pain but a few weeks after the appointment I noticed
a change. Just had my 4 week post op and I am so grateful
it was successful.

PRP is Better Than Surgery!

For the last 12 years I have had to endure low back pain secondary to torn discs, fracture vertebrae, and spondylolithesis. I have tried many different types of injections such as epidurals and ablations with the PRP injection providing me the most relief. Since my third PRP injection I have been able to do more than I was able to in the last 12 years. Also, Dr. Fitz was honest with me and told me he would not be able to get me back to 100% but closer to 85%.

No More Pain in My Hip

I am 91 years ago and have had pain in my hips for quite some time. Since have the platelet injection, 1 month ago, I no longer have any pain while walking up stairs, walking, and getting in and out of the car. It is amazing, it truly is.

From Stabbing Pain to None

At age 91 I have had stabbing pain into my left hip for some time and since having had the injection of platelets, 1 month later, I notice that I can go up stairs without any pain in my left hip, I get in and out of the car without pain, and when I walk and through my left leg forward I have no pain. It is amazing, it truly is.

PRP Infusion

After spending nearly a year not being able to put much weight on my right leg to do everyday activities and used to being very active I pursued the physical therapy and with little success I decided to do the PRP infusion. The minimal muscle tear was a frustrating injury. After 7 weeks I have just a little pain but I can climb stairs and resume gardening and walking activity. I highly recommend spending the money to have this done. I was advised to continue physical as this continues to heal.I am very satisfied.

Testimonial for PRP

For the past 7+ years I have had chronic pain in both hips. Painful to work, climb stairs, and even at nite. Dr. Fitz had given me cortisone shots every 4 months which alleviated the pain temporarily. 4 months ago he discovered I had torn muscles in both hips. He recommended injections of my platelet rich plasma in the torn muscle area. After 3-4 weeks of the 1st injections my pain not only subsided it disappeared. Thanks to the PRP I now am living a much fuller pain free life- long walks, tennis, and golf.

platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection

For about 7 months I suffered with a sore hip which was making it difficult to walk and sleep. I went to see Dr. Fitz and he recommended I try rehab. There was no improvement from that. When I saw him again, he talked to me about the PRP procedure. I had never heard of it and he explained that at this time it is considered experimental, although he had success with it on other patients. With nowhere else to go but surgery, I tried the treatment. WOW! This sounds crazy but after the first day my hip felt much better, and on day 2 I could walk up and down stairs with no pain. A month later I still feel a little discomfort, I can't even call it pain, when I try to sleep on my right side, but it is still healing and will continue repairing for 2 months. It is a fairly simple procedure where blood is taken and spun down to a concentration of platelets, which are then injected back into your body.
Based on my outcome, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this treatment to
