O.C. Cluss Lumber was founded in 1918 and supplies professional builders and homeowners with quality lumber and building materials. Otto Charles Cluss founded the lumber company in Uniontown, Pa. It incorporated in 1919. A second lumberyard was opened in Greensburg, Pa., in 1986 followed by a third facility in Aliquippa, Pa., in 1990. In 1997, O.C. Cluss Lumber purchased Brown Lumber Yards in West Virginia. The company expanded into Maryland in June 2001 with the purchase of Fred E. Beachy Lumber. In 2002, it opened its professional installation group in Uniontown, Pa. O.C. Cluss Lumber employs nearly 400 people and also installs framing, roofing, siding, insulation, gutter, millwork and other building materials.
